Japanese Drift Master is fast approaching its release date. With this latest sneak peek into the fictional Japanese drifting haven, new locations are revealed as Spring 2025 will see players finally be able to take to the streets in various vehicles.
Players have been drip-fed information on Japanese Drift Master throughout 2024, and the latest leak of information is that you, the player, will be able to drive, race and drift through south Ichikara, Guntama's largest modelled city. The city is a visual treat, dazzling players with neon lights, skyscrapers, and sleek modern architecture—a perfect backdrop for an authentic Japanese car meet.
Guntama is a fictional region in Japanese Drift Master crafted to combine iconic landmarks and cultures across Japan. This region combines the picturesque charm of prefectures like Gunma and Hokkaido with jaw-dropping areas like Saitama and Hakone. Players will pass landmarks like Himeji Castle on their travels through scenic mountain roads. Every corner of Guntama is designed to immerse players in the soul of Japan.
If you are more into showing off your ride in a static environment at events like online car meets, you will love the new Daikotsu Parking Area. This area is inspired by one of the most famous spots for JDM car lovers, Daikoku, PA, where you can hone your skills and show off your moves.
Japanese Drift Master's version of the legendary Daikoku parking area.
With these new areas confirmed for Japanese Drift Master, the connections to real-world locations are becoming even more apparent. The map of Japanese Drift Master will be a mashup of real-world locations across Japan but without their official names. For example, Natsuna pays homage to the legendary Mount Haruna, while Chichira Bridge takes inspiration from the iconic Tatara Bridge.
