After previously only having licensed cars from Mazda, Nissan and Subaru, another manufacturer is joining in on the sideways fun on the streets of Guntama in Japanese Drift Master, and that is Honda.
Japanese Drift Master releases on March 26th and is an open world drifting game looking to cater to both casual controller and hardcore sim rig players. Development studio Gaming Factory are priding themselves on creating a game with semi-realistic but still accessible simcade-style handling across 250 kilometres of road.
There will also be a story mode consisting of Japanese manga style imagery, following a hopeful rising star named Touma who is looking to make a name for himself in the Japanese street racing scene.
In the lead-up to the full release, the JDM team have been one-by-one revealing brands that will have their cars licenced and included in the game. The latest one is that of Honda, which featured in a short trailer in the form of their second-generation NSX that was in production from 2016 to 2022.
One example that comes to mind is the S2000, and as we get closer to release, maybe the model will be confirmed along with plenty of other Honda vehicles. Perhaps a rear-wheel drive converted Civic will also be amongst the selection?
JDM will be PC-only at launch but it is said to be coming to consoles at some undisclosed point further down the line.

Honda in Japanese Drift Master
In their short announcement via their Steam page, Gaming Factory do not make mention of any other Honda models that can be expected when the game releases. The NSX may be an odd choice for inclusion since traditionally, Honda cars that can be found in the Japanese street racing and drifting scenes have their engines mounted at the front. One example that comes to mind is the S2000, and as we get closer to release, maybe the model will be confirmed along with plenty of other Honda vehicles.
