All Initial Early Access Assetto Corsa EVO Car Customizations

Assetto Corsa EVO has a nice bit of individuality on board now that car customization is possible even offline - here's what you can do in Kunos' new sim!

Designated as a petrolhead's dream by developer Kunos Simulazioni, Assetto Corsa EVO has drawn comparisons to the Gran Turismo and Forza Horizon franchises thanks to its capability of upgrading cars. Players should have been able to customize their rides immediately when the first Early Access version launched, but it was only once the third patch arrived on January 20 that the functionality was made available offline due to the ongoing server issues.

The result is certainly not the full spectrum, but if the customizations that are available as of version 0.1.3 are any indication, things will be quite in-depth once they are fully realized. We have checked what modifications you can do to each of the 20 Early Access cars, which, in some cases, goes right down to the stitching on the interior of the cars.

Meanwhile, the custom body paint options are quite detailed as well, with the possiblity to customize the finish of a car's paint down to elements like roughness and the texture of its Clear Coat. Find all the available finishes in the list below!

Assetto Corsa EVO Body Colour Finishes

  • Custom (Roughness, Clear Coat, Clear Coat Roughness, Metalness, Flakes)
  • Gloss
  • High Gloss
  • Satin
  • Matte
  • Metallic
  • Satin Metallic
  • Matte Metallic
  • Pearl
  • Chrome
  • Clear Chrome

That said, here are the customization options you get for the 20 cars in the first Early Access release of Assetto Corsa EVO. Note that some body and interior colors or rims are only available for certain versions of a car, so play around with the workshop a bit to find a setup you like.

Keep in mind, though, that sadly, customizations do not save once you quit AC EVO as of January 20. You will have to redo your customizations every time you restart the sim. Additionally, performance parts are not part of the customization options yet.

Thanks for updates, I like the way they are doing it, not jumping all over the show trying to fix things with half assed measures, something S397 have been guilty of before.

Maybe an unpopular opinion but... I feel its a bit unnecessary to have developmental resources going into such minor details, this early at least. Makes it feel more like product placement which, people have already brought up as a concern.
Its cool to have but why not prioritize other things first?

Maybe they wanted to broaden the vision of what they want the game to be.

I guess it is an unpopular opinion because I wholeheartedly agree... That's usually not a good sign for those who want a popular opinion... :roflmao:

But then a lot of developers focus on crazy things to me, like the look of a UI but leaving all of the bugs in it...

Given that's it's just a tech demo atm and not close to what I feel an Early Access title should be it is definitely unnecessary overkill at this point in time...

I'd rather MP be part of the game so we can get the physics testing happening... SP focused games move at a snails pace in terms of physics advancements due to the need for stability for the TT boards and championships... Which to me is just another crazy decision by Kunos in this ACE release...

It probably wouldn't seem so bad that it's an SP focused title if the AI was in decent shape... There's some promise underneath all of these confusing decisions... But I am still concerned that this will be more Forza Horizon and less what the community did to AC to make it good...

sorry to be negative, but is this really of any interest to anyone? Those who have the game can scroll through, those who haven't probably won't be bothered to find out if the wheel on car X comes in three different colours or sizes. Just my 5 cents.
Honestly this. I've never seen so much hype for any other early access title like this from Overtake.gg. I get that Kunos publishing a new game is exciting, but wow - it's not even at v0.2! Even AMS2 waited a while before public release and that's been a rough ride, and never got the same hype. LMU is still in early access and didn't get the same hype.

my god , who cares about this feature ( if you do thats cool but i dont ) if i want to play Forza or GT i will get those games . i just hope that Kunos will not do what SMS did to the Pcars franchise whit the Horrible Pcars 3 .

here we go ...

Lets welcome all the new features of this wonderful title, with joy. There are several departments working on the implementation and improvements in various areas of the simulator. This is one of them. And new ones will come. It is part of the development. And the improvements in performance, new cars, tracks, etc., will also come. All in in its right time.

First an article about the fact that Kunos enabled car customization and then 4 hours later a 2nd article about everything that can be customized. Sorry, but this is just too much… And yes, AC EVO is big news in the Sim Racing community, but come on… do we really need so many articles about it?

Well, what can I say?
Late last night I played with the free option non template colors for the Abarth.
And all of a sudden I found myself in a sweet lady wagon.

But frankly, and sorry to sound harsh....priorities Kunos?

Isn't it a bit unconventional to start in reverse order from the top to decorate the 7 meter high wedding cake and then work your way downwards to the buttom until it is finished?

Is this in order to capture new unconventional markets?
In that case my 9 yo daughter would like a much larger selection of paint brushes, animal stickers, Bratz templates, etc.

But thanks alot for the color chart lists. I appreciate that.
I will try to memorize them in my head tonight instead of counting sheeps.

Agreed...

I get it, OverTake is just what RaceDepartment was and that was overly biased towards Kunos products as well... But there's a lot more interesting things going on in the sim racing world...

Modders are doing great things on rF2, BeamNG and the original AC... I'd much rather read about that than customization options in a title that is about hotlapping and screenshot taking atm...

Well, whilst I don't really "care" about this feature, I will certainly have a play with it. After all, I got a kick out of opening and closing the sunroof on the Audi RS as I was screaming around imola :)

I tried Forza in GamePass and the physics are horrible. Don't have a PS so I don't have access to Gran Turismo. But as a PC player I would love to have a game where I could nerd out on cars and all their details, and then take them to the track for a spin, and actually immerse myself in the driving. I personally like they added this feature, it makes the game more than just a by-the-numbers sim, it does make it more uniqe. Similar to Gran Turismo, a celebration of cars and car culture. With proper physics. On the PC. And it's also a completly optional feature, so it doesn't really hurt anyone being there, it doesn't lessen the simulation aspect. Having something extra for the road cars, that's all. I'm also hoping for some juicy racecars ofcourse, Group 5, Group C, other classic LM prototypes and formula cars. With this physics model, would be a dream come true.

Yet you read it, and more importantly to RD, you posted a comment on the article. RD makes $$$ off of clicks and Kunos projects are where the majority of the interest is at.
Instead of shooting yourself in the foot posting on an article that you don't want to be here, spam posts on articles about the games you like so it at least looks like there is actual interest in them.

sorry to be negative, but is this really of any interest to anyone? Those who have the game can scroll through, those who haven't probably won't be bothered to find out if the wheel on car X comes in three different colours or sizes. Just my 5 cents.
Agree - Zero interest. Kunos are after the Forza and GT kids on console. I had planned to get this sim last week but once the first 20 cars were released and they were almost all road cars? I don't want to drive a Fiat Abarth. Then all the issues after it got released way too early in "EA"? No interest now at all. I'll just use the money I saved on more mods for AC.

Oh I had no care to read the article... The headline fell into the annoyance level and I decided to have a whinge... I didn't shoot myself in the foot... I wasted some time, but venting is good for the soul... So it was a positive no matter what you want to think and given the other comments in here it's a common thought throughout this community atm...

I am fully aware of how they make money from clicks and in this day and age where people are getting replaced by robots (my favourite curry restaurant has a robot waiter) I don't give a rats ass about the monetary system as robots and AI only need electricity the whole thing is going down the toilet soon anyway... As the system needs consumers that simply will not exist...

So I might as well give some of that imaginary resource to something that gives me news on a hobby that keeps me distracted from that reality even if it's not what I want to read about... Fanboys treat their favourite developers as if they are charities and you can't dare hurt their bottoms lines at all... Yet just like the media they are out for profits and their marketing shows this...
