After a long wait, Assetto Corsa EVO is finally here! The first Early Access release has launched, and now we know the price and the storage requirements as well.

The day is finally here, with the early access for Assetto Corsa EVO now available with five tracks and 20 cars to choose from. But everyone - including us - has still been wondering: How much will it cost and how much storage is needed to install it?

16 January is the day that many sim racers have been waiting for, with Assetto Corsa EVO becoming available in Early Access on Steam as of 15:00 UTC / 16:00 CET - which turned into an hour later with an unplanned delay. We already know everything from included content to system requirements.

But of course, one thing we could not say before today was how much the early access for AC EVO would cost and the storage needed to install it on your system - the 100 GB mentioned in the specs on the game's Steam page seem a bit excessive for the first release.

AC EVO Early Access - Cost and Storage

For those who were hoping the early access would be free, unfortunately not. To pick up the game off Steam, it will set you back €39.99 EUR / £32.99 GBP / $39.99 USD, but it will be discounted by 20% until 30 January. In comparison to another sim racing title that became available in early access, Le Mans Ultimate is €29.99 EUR / £24.99 GBP / $32.99 USD.

Now for the storage needed. With the game being in early access with limited content, you only require a spare 39 gigabytes on your hard drive to be able to install AC EVO. Of course, as updates are expected to roll out, that number will of course increase. But for now, it will only be 39 spare on your local disk to be able to install and launch it.

If you are reading this article within the first few hours of release, our own @Yannik Haustein is live over on our Twitch channel with his first go at the public build of AC EVO, which is now available on Steam.

Can't wait to get home and try it!!

Excluding DLCs I've spent less than £80 on AC, ACC and now ACE combined, by purchasing on early access and so far I've not regretted any of them!! Hopefully I feel the same way tonight after my first drive!!

Thank you Kunos for keeping it sensibly priced again! 👍

Might be stupid question but how can i invert clubsport V3 pedals, cannot find that on game settings. All inputs are on full when pedals are idle.

In the controls menu with your pedals selected the option should be on the right hand side - you might need to click on properties or settings before you see the "invert" option.

LOL my first experience .... blckscreen and music running :)))

EDIT : Restarting PC helped

I think alot of people are having that problem.

First impressions: not ready. Driving feels more or less like ACC. Performance is not great, VR unusable. I hope Kunos devs are ok, looks like a super stressful launch. Currently does not look worth it, maybe in a year or two.
AI is... bad. More or less the original AC ai, essentially pointless to race with it at the moment.
Also online does not work at the moment, but that's probably due to launch issues, so I'm sure they'll iron it out.

Long way to go yet for the good folks at Kunos. Every bit as rough around the edges as you might expect an alpha grade EA release to be. Will be interested to see folks put together their tips for visuals, as the VR is in very rough shape presently despite fiddling with various settings. Not entirely negative by any stretch, but they've got their work cut out for them.

Only 6 cars available. Can't connect to servers so also can't access licences. So looks like certain content is only available if connected to their servers.

AI well just don't bother racing against it because it takes you out and acts like you don't exist.

Cars feel like they're on ice. Performance is shocking aswell. Looks no better than ACC or Ac1 But performs awful even with DLSS on.

Menus are hideously complicated. Especially when binding buttons for controls.

Got my G Pro working but only by putting into G923 mode or car just accelerates by itself even after deleting other controllers keybinds
