The final reveals for Assetto Corsa EVO Early Access are drawing ever closer, with the four last cars being shown after today. In the meantime, Kunos have revealed the second-to-last set of cars.

We have four more cars to look forward to in the Early Access for Assetto Corsa EVO launching 16 January. That brings the total to 16 out of the 20 we will be able to drive, meaning one more reveal is likely from tomorrow, 12 January.

So what do we have this time? Well, for the many bemoaning the low quantity of racing cars, one is a real beast that was made available in one of the last Assetto Corsa Competizione DLC packs, but the road cars are still in the majority: We have a midship British sportscar, an Italian mini SUV and an immensely popular Japanese convertible.

Assetto Corsa EVO Early Access Cars - Part 4

Just like the Ferrari 488 Challenge Evo and M2 CS Racing, the Mercedes is carried over from ACC and is perhaps the ultimate challenge in high power and low grip. With the 992 GT3 Cup car having been shown in previews for the new title, perhaps expect that to be the last racing car revealed with the final batch of four cars.

As for the other cars, surprisingly the S-2000 is seemingly giving the AMG GT2 a run for its money. The 2.0-litre VTEC Inline-4 could rev to 9,000rpm and was a byword for reliability, making it a true modern classic. The Emira has a range of engines so we cannot say which version will be driveable in AC EVO, but the Junior will be the Elettrica Veloce - so the electric version of the SUV.

Which of these four newly revealed cars are you most excited to drive in Assetto Corsa EVO? Let us know in the comments below and join the discussion in our AC EVO forum!

Why all road cars though? Makes me think even more it will be needy horizon speedy most wanted carbon rivals.
That's AC's DNA. The original is/was packed to the gills with road cars. It's not a dedicated racing series simulator like ACC, though I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to see complete classes of racing cars in the sim, either via DLC or as part of the stock 1.0 offerings. They've mentioned wanting to be able to offer more complete packs of related racing cars as opposed to AC's "whoever will grant us a license" approach.

I might even venture to assume they have a lot of work left to do with racing stuff. Every car they've shown is on the relatively low downforce side of things, cup/challenge cars included. May be they are not there yet with the high downforce stuff considering how far we are from a completed project.

I'm also hope that the S2000 has on the configurator options of all the visual parts that Honda (and maybe Mugen) offered during the entire time it was on sale, no pressure Kunos :D

Whe need proper race cars
Dont worry, these will come. You have lots of games that simulate modern racecars. But we have NO game except old AC that gives us modern day sportscars, supercars, hot hatches etc with simulation level physics and ffb. So no, for now (!) in AC Evo we really dont need proper racecars. I want to finally drive a BMW M4 CS or a Porsche GT3 that is not just looking good (FH5) but also feels good to drive.

Im a racing fan, loud rift from exhaust old school motorsport fan... i couldnt care less about road cars, really not looking forward to EVO release as of right now! clearly there going to force you through a license structure which possibly costs real money to unlock cars or whatever!!! that might explain the road cars.

This has turned my attention away! however i could be proven wrong but overall im not that excited with all its recent content etc I believe this is going to be alot of money to buy cars, tracks , packages DLC and so on
