The final reveals for Assetto Corsa EVO Early Access are drawing ever closer, with the four last cars being shown after today. In the meantime, Kunos have revealed the second-to-last set of cars.
We have four more cars to look forward to in the Early Access for Assetto Corsa EVO launching 16 January. That brings the total to 16 out of the 20 we will be able to drive, meaning one more reveal is likely from tomorrow, 12 January.
So what do we have this time? Well, for the many bemoaning the low quantity of racing cars, one is a real beast that was made available in one of the last Assetto Corsa Competizione DLC packs, but the road cars are still in the majority: We have a midship British sportscar, an Italian mini SUV and an immensely popular Japanese convertible.
Just like the Ferrari 488 Challenge Evo and M2 CS Racing, the Mercedes is carried over from ACC and is perhaps the ultimate challenge in high power and low grip. With the 992 GT3 Cup car having been shown in previews for the new title, perhaps expect that to be the last racing car revealed with the final batch of four cars.
As for the other cars, surprisingly the S-2000 is seemingly giving the AMG GT2 a run for its money. The 2.0-litre VTEC Inline-4 could rev to 9,000rpm and was a byword for reliability, making it a true modern classic. The Emira has a range of engines so we cannot say which version will be driveable in AC EVO, but the Junior will be the Elettrica Veloce - so the electric version of the SUV.
