News Assetto Corsa EVO: Info On Next Release Soon, More Frequent Updates To Follow

I cannot but stress again about the same I wrote a month ago:
"Sorry but at this stage of EA I don' t manage to keep playing. I have no problem on the graphics performance, almost no stutter, graphics is ok BUT actual gameplay is BORING. I really hope Developers are planning to add a consistent amount of dinamic stuff in the sim environment, to make it more live. I just think about particles, smoke, debris, side track elements, deforming parts, a realistic graphic damage model. I can' t stress enough about this aspect because IMHO i s far more vital than skins customization and so on......"
Nowadays I can confirm my feeling is that the success of Evo will be mainly determinad by the implementation of what above....... I definitely wish to have other cars debris to avoid while racing in Evo :) ....(as it happens IRL).

Evo might have fared better if Kunos had released something other than the standard race circuits we have all seen multiple times over the years in other sims. Sure they are working on Eifel which from all accounts will be epic as hell. Although Kunos should have added at least a decent hill climb and public road track in the initial release. Lots of talented scratch track builders out there that Kunos could have hired to assist with that.

How any one gets excited over Brands Hatch, Imola, Laguna and the other circuits included is beyond me. Sure driving these in real life would be amazing although after 20 years of driving these tracks in various sims it's simply meh at this point. Beyond the fact that most of the cars in Evo are street cars yet we have no streets to drive them on. :roflmao:

No doubt Evo will get there although Kunos might have garnered more attention during the initial release and held it (and kept the pitch fork masses satiated) until the next major update with something other than many of the same circuits we had in AC1 and ACC.
