After three packed and successful Le Mans Ultimate events, the OverTake Racing Club continues our weekly series and heads to Belgium to tackle Spa-Francorchamps in the LMGT3 class. With 62 grid slots, this race is shaping up to be the best yet - and it is free to enter for all OverTake members!

After last week's undulation and multi-class chaos in Portimao, we're leveling the playing field and challenging you to choose your favourite LMGT3 machine and go for glory.

Spa-Francorchamps is known for its changeable conditions and unpredictable weather patterns, so we have let the circuit and Le Mans Ultimate have free rein over the conditions. Make sure you pack an umbrella and a few sets of wet tyres—you might just need them!

Don't own any LMGT3 packs? Not to worry! There are two ultra-competitive cars available for free, the McLaren 720S LMGT3, pictured above, and the brand-new V8-powered Ford Mustang LMGT3. Both cars have seen success in our previous races, so don't be afraid to get stuck in!

This event is also FREE to enter for all of our website users! These Le Mans Ultimate events are normally reserved for our Premium Members, but this race is open to all - make sure to claim your spot in our signup below!

If you prefer an overview broadcast-style live stream with commentary and official WEC graphics, head over to the OverTake Racing Club Twitch channel, get involved with the community, and watch the race as if it were a real WEC round!

This was a fun race, even though I totally made a mess of it myself.

I tinkered to long at the start to enter start sequence. Result: you sir a starting from the pits.... :-(.
I figured I would be smart and have the rain setup ready, take a risk and go in with the first drop of rain hoping that would create benefit against those that stayed out to long....

Crewchief told me that he saw a spot of rain and in I went. I guess that George Russel was hired this day to support me because... woow, in the Netherlands we don't even call that a spot of rain...

Man do those wet tyres get hot on a dry track :). In general I have trouble getting tyres up to temp in LMU.... with the wet tyres on dry track. Not so much :) . You see them go from green to red at every turn in and because off it get slippery as if it was very wet. Anyway.. I struggled along and rain increased in time. I did ad fuel at the stop to make sure I only had to do the one stop. Would have been an excellent strategy, I moved from 27 to 21 and having 3 contenders close to me in front.

George checks in with me. You have fuel left for 3 laps.... and there were 11 minutes left in the race.... ****! I can't cover that with fuel saving. I went in immediately and added 3 laps of fuel to be save... and pressed the limiter to late => 62 km/h. Lets hope that this game is as forgiving as ACC and slow down additional to make sure the average does not exceed 60. Well that was idle hope. Pit out. George on the line again: "you have been rewarded a penalty". Drive true again it was. And while doing that dropped back to one of the last driving cars.
But I did have fun guys. Even with a shitty result, racing with all of you in these big grids.. massif fun! Bring them on.
