1 Hour Of Sebring: Re-watchThe First-Ever Racing Club Event In Le Mans Ultimate

Le Mans Ultimate is seeing more attention from sim racers since its February 2025 update - perfect timing for our Racing Club to run its first LMU event!

Just over a year after its Early Access release, Le Mans Ultimate is surrounded by more and more positivity from the sim racing community: Following its February update that added three more LMGT3 contenders to have most of the 2024 grid represented, interest in the official WEC game has noticeably increased.

Since LMU's December update, hosted sessions have been possible, whereas previously, it had only been official daily or weekly races and special events as far as online multiplayer was concerned. So it is about time that our Racing Club finally hit the virtual road in Le Mans Ultimate as well - and that's exactly what it did on March 11.

For the first time ever, our Racing Club ran an LMU event - although it lined up more with the 2025 IMSA calendar rather than WEC, which has seen its season opener in Qatar just as February ended: An hour-long race at Sebring was in order, and in the same week as the actual race as well. The contenders: LMP2 prototypes and the freshly-updated LMGT3 grid.

Check out our YouTube stream, embedded above, or if you prefer to watch over on Twitch, we also had a stream live there! On YouTube, @Michel Wolk streamed his POV in the LMGT3 class and on Twitch, we had an overview broadcast-style stream.

The grid was packed, too: All 35 slots - 15 in LMP2, 20 in LMGT3 - were taken, with 29 actually taking to the grid - and both classes saw plenty of action.

Additional Information

Briefing:
- Rolling start, follow in game instructions. GT3 if you can leave a small gap to the LMP2's (without getting pinged by the game) please do so.
- Assists set to factory so will be limited to whatever the real car has.
- Reminder of the old RD "Golden Rule". If you run someone off, be a gentleman and wait for that driver to join and give the driver your position.
- This is a friendly club race, we're just hosting this race to test how it all works out, please post feedback etc after the race and please just have fun on track without ruining it for others.

Note: We will alternate between multiclass and GT3 events on tuesdays, stay tuned for more events.

I am undecided regarding GT3 or LMP2. Will do some testing over the weekend and decide on the car and class.

I am excited to participate, i'll make a lot of practice on the weekend, my aim is to drive safe and achieve a respectable position. Good luck to everyone participating.
I'm just going to have fun and hope I finish! Hopefully the LMP2 drivers are a little nicer than the AI drivers in the game. Practicing with them on an hour race and they have a tendency to just knock you off the road at times. That is with the aggression set at only 75%. I have no idea how mean they would be at 100% :)

You need some old and slow people to round out the field- so I signed up. Looking forward to it although I may have a bit more ping than most.
Not sure if you were being sarcastic and you are actually young and bloody quick but I am also old and slow.

No Sarcasm here! As far as I can tell I'm at least 20 years older than the oldest person signed up for the race but that may not be true since not everyone post their age. Regardless, I have fun and love to race even if I am slow but generally consistent also. Looking forward to seeing you there.

They do have a tendency to send you to the shadow realm if you so much as dare to think about overtaking them on 100% aggression :D

When is the next one? I was having a great race and got smashed from behind by a GT3 (BMW I think). Other than that a lot of fun.

Not sure how to change my name for Overtake race. On the LMU website I am Papa Lolo and that is what shows up on the race but it is still me Keith_G ;) Interesting that the game actually stopped in the middle of the race with an error (which I sent in) but it then let me rejoin although I was down 2 laps at that point. I thought maybe it would give me full fuel and new tires but when I rejoined and left the garage it was at the fuel and tire wear that I had when I was kicked out. Last lap I lost sound and couldn't figure out what happened so if I got in the way of someone - sorry! Thanks for the race and I enjoyed it even though I had a few problems.
