After a potentially leaked release date emerged for Project Motor Racing today, it has been confirmed to OverTake that PMR will not be releasing on 30 September.
Earlier this week, Straight4 Studios officially unveiled its upcoming sim racing game, bound for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S/X and PC, Project Motor Racing. During the event, at which we got a hands-on experience with the game, the developers announced that they are planning a Fall of 2025 release.
Since then, the game emerged today for pre-order on the website of American retail store, Target with a release date of 30 September - quite early for Fall, or Autumn for that matter.
However, it has since been confirmed to us by Straight4 Studios itself that the date used is just a simple placeholder, with the final Tuesday of September not currently planned for the title's release. So if you do pre-order the title through that particular website, do not expect to be getting your hands on the game then.
In addition to the incorrect launch date, Target is also shipping Project Motor Racing's base game for $69.99 according to its website. As we found out at the title's unveiling, PMR will be available from $59.99. If you choose to get the game with a Season Pass providing access to the first year's worth of DLC, it will set you back $89.99.
