To improve the ease of access to our Racing Club, we are introducing a new function - the OverTake Race Event Selector is here!
In our recent January Community Letter, we previewed the new Race Event Selector, an easy shortcut way to jump in daily Club races. Now, it’s time to roll it out to all of you - the first small part in our ongoing effort to improve your experience here on OverTake.
On the flip side you might not have the time to commit to driving in a serious league style event, as you might already be aware league racing most often requires commitment and regular practice well in advance...
This is precisely why the Racing Club here on OverTake exists, and has existed and thrived for years: The goal has always been to get you into races without a ton of hassle, showcase a wide variety of titles and combos, and connect you with other drivers that are more interested in race craft than rage quits. Our dedicated and incredibly knowledgeable Racing Club staff, who graciously put on these races on a weekly basis, are committed to concocting fun creative selections of cars and tracks for you to enjoy.
With the sheer barrage of images and text that flash in front of our eyes all day, it's no wonder we miss events we would have happily and enthusiastically wanted to part of, most never even make it to our eyeballs.
The Racing Club here at OverTake has always been accessible to anyone with a Premium membership, but up until now, it required you dig through the forum to find an event, then post in that event thread that you would like to participate and in which car, and then, you wait on an admin to pop your name in the list. Of course that works, too, and it has for many years.
But now we have a much better way to handle this interaction with minimal effort and better visibility, a real improvement!
From now on, on the main page of the site and everywhere else you'll now have a set of previews and enticing images with some key details including:
All other pages (Forum / Downloads/Other)
And most importantly once you choose an event you want to join, it's an easy one-click sign-up! Simple click on the image and boom - your name is on the list and you're good to go racing!
Additionally, we have a fancy new dedicated page to browse all the upcoming events.
Normally, the Racing Club is reserved for Premium Members, but in celebration of the new Race Event Selector, this month we invite all registered members to try out the Racing Club for free.
So don't hold back, fire up some of that content you already paid for and never used, and join us on track for a chill evening of overtakes!

Introducing the Race Event Selector

- Title of the event
- Time displayed in your time zone. No need for the 3 Tokyo / New York / London clocks on the wall anymore!
- The number of drivers already signed up
- The Car/Track combo
- And a timer counts down mins to the event (very useful for getting a quick coffee before)
