RaceRoom continues to unveil new content to start off 2025. Next up: A duel circuit inspired by the Race of Champions.

RaceRoom continues to announce content - and this time, it means uncharted territory for the sim again: After already confirming in October 2024 that drift content would come to RaceRoom, developer KW Studios now lifted the veil on another addition that introduces a new way of racing to the sim. Dubbed 'Twin Forest', a 1v1 duel circuit inspired by the Race of Champions tracks is set to make its way into the game.

Such head-to-head circuits usually see competitors start on parallel straights at the same time. As the track loops back on itself, the one-lap races are over once each competitor has done a full lap, meaning they are back where they started. Super Special Stages in rallying work the same way, although they can also include loose surfaces and jumps.

RaceRoom Head-to-head Track

While inspired by the RoC tracks that are usually laid out inside stadiums, the RaceRoom 1v1 circuit appears not to be within the confines of an arena. Instead, sim racers can tackle this head-to-head challenge on a less tight circuit, at least from what we can tell based on the single screenshot KW Studios have shared.

With cars such as the KTM X-Bow RR Cup in its lineup, it should be possible to recreate some of that Race of Champions atmosphere within RaceRoom, or at least the style of racing. This being sim racing should mean that it will also be possible to chuck around a Group C or F1 car if you so desire, of course - whether or not that will actually be reasonable remains to be seen. But we sure imagine it to be quite intense at the very least.

When the content will be released has not been stated yet, but the February Fun Fest hashtag used in the social media post and announcement image could hint at a launch to happen within the remaining days of the month.

RoC tracks and structures that plops you in unexpected vehicles with 20 mins to get it all sorted and race is such a great way to see who has it.

Reminds me of how fantastic the Gran Turismo kart tracks are and how they need to return to GT7 along with these stadium setups.

Or how about more track editors and easy online coordination and sharing of them. Along with being able to setup objects to create new paths.

The LiveForSpeed configurations still show the way. Great fun rallycrossing around track locations:

Why do so many racing sim games have such huge steep falloff in players and updates barely tick up the counts.. You can only race the same GT🥧 cars on CdlSarthe and not realize it gets really boring. no matter how much cult hype marketing spend there is.

RaceRoom having existing track layouts that be modified with new "courses" in game and see the highest rated ones would be great. - Updates can't keep up. Community content creations is critical. Tools to create these alternate layouts ensures significant community growth.

And more fun interesting tracks like this! Woot Woot!

RaceRoom just keeps getting better...

I used to always try out the ROC mods that came out... So I'm looking forwards to this...

the users have asked for rain, night, dx12, better tyre model, dynamic track, hillclimb tracks and more prestigious track like Monaco, Sebring, Le Mans, and AI fix, and we have drift cars, duel track later, and liveries, woow ! It can explain the low players numbers.

Looks interesting, and hopefully soon also the next set of the really fun and well done Super Tourers, with the Ford Mondeo, Nissan, Renault and Peugeot, and an Alfa Romeo super tourer, please!

Isi Rfactor 1 engine with its limitations. They cannot just "upgrade" to your wishes as that demand another game engine. That's why Studio 397 created rF2 on a newer ISI game engine.

You´re right, but dx12, rain, day-night cyclus will come later this year.
Yes, that´s typical for RRRE, KW-Studios release amazing stuff like DTM 2024 with Lamborghini and stuff nobody really needs like drift cars or fantasy tracks. I simply ignore this and look forward the further cool things, RRRE will offer in the future!

1v1 and drift content would also need new game modes, any word on that? AI support?

Are those features you are mentioning officially announced somewhere? Can I finally get my hopes up for a dash display tech update?
