rFactor 2 players and Formula e fans, rejoice! The once-paid Formula E DLC pack for the 2024/25 season is now free to download, providing you already have the Formula E content!

Many had written rFactor 2 off, especially with the explosion in popularity of its sibling title, Le Mans Ultimate. However, it seems Studio 397 still has some vision for the sim. Not only has this 2024/25 Formula E DLC pack been brought to players for free, but with it comes a host of updates and changes to all of the venues that the leading electric championship visits!

Despite the new liveries, the Gen 3 EVO cars do not appear. Time will tell if these will be added, but for now, it is just the 2024/25 liveries on the pre-evo GEN3 cars.

Track updates

  • London
  • Berlin
  • Hong Kong
  • New York
  • Rome
  • Diriyah
  • Electric Docks

Even if Formula E and electric cars in general are not your thing, we encourage you to give this update a try. It is great to see Studio 397 still updating and looking after the dedicated playerbase that rFactor 2 still has. Whilst

How to Get the Content

Released today, Tuesday, 4th March, the Formula E 2024/2025 content will automatically be available to all rFactor 2 players with the Formula E content. All you have to do is simply launch the game, update your content in the menu and then you are ready to hit the track and try out these advanced electric machines.

Maserati MSG Racing

All 11 2024/25 official teams are represented in the pack, as well as branding updates to all seven tracks in the game, as previously mentioned. But do not expect to be able to race these machines online. The servers and population for rFactor 2 are very low in the current state.

2024/25 Teams

  • Andretti Formula E
  • Cupra Kiro
  • DS Penske
  • Envision Racing
  • Jaguar TCS Racing
  • LOLA Yamaha ABT Formula E Team
  • Mahindra Racing
  • Maserati MSG Racing
  • NEOM McLaren Formula E Team
  • Nissan Formula E Team
  • TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team

However, an immersive single-player experience with these cars is certainly possible with all of the tracks and branding within this new update, so if you have no luck online, do not despair!

Our article has now been changed. Thank you for pointing that out!
To be fair if you weren't reading the official article properly then you'd assume it's free to everyone including the tracks as that's how I read it to begin with. Their Facebook post also makes it sound like it's free to everyone too.

I'm quite surprised it's only liveries though. The gen3 evo cars aren't any different looking from what I can see so it's literally just the power and the fact they're now all wheel drive

Yeah, i was surprised at no EVO cars as well. It seems they still have a section of their team working on rF2, so maybe in the future, we'll have them in the sim.

All I want is the tracks and cars of RF2 to be ported to LMU somehow to have a better diversity compared to the current limited content.
Well that would mean it wouldn't be a licenced title anymore. Imagine driving the Formula Pro on Le Mans Ultimate, that would be super strange

rF3, you ask for rF3, and in many pro drivers reviews, even LMU has not enough grip and too much lateral slides, so I want a more realistic tyre model for rF3, LMU is not enough close, from the Ferrari 296 pro driver.

I have not the 2023 FE pack, but all the track, is it free for me ?
The track skin updates will be the cars wont. I only bought the gen3 car and 1 track in the winter sale last year and I've got the 2024/25 skins

I thought the partnership ended because last year they did not released a skin pack.

So do you have to own all earlier FE-stuff, or if you even have some cars and tracks, you get this for free?
