Group B, one of the most dangerous and impressive rally classes of all time, is the star of this week's Rally Club event. It focuses on the RWD variants of the class and is set in the setting of Rally Latvia, a relatively new addition to EA Sports WRC and consequently one of the best-looking!

Harcore damage and RWD Group B cars are a seemingly impossible combination, especially with such a high-speed rally like Latvia... So, do you trust your abilities? These RWD Group B rally cars are notorious for being difficult to drive on a default setup, so look out for a guide on how to set these monsters up in the coming days!

Itinerary

Session Timing: 26th of March 2025, 00:00 UTC until the 30th of March 2025, 23:59 UTC

SS1: Veopils - Morning - Clear - 16.3km:
This is the longest stage on the rally, fast and unforgiving. Welcome to Latvia. If you can keep hold of your car through the fast forest sections of this grueling introductory stage, then you have nothing to worry about! Be aware of the left-right chicane just after a third of the way through the stage; it comes in the middle of a very long and fast section.

SS2 & SS6: Kaleti & Krote - Morning & Sunset - Clear - 5km
At just 5km, Kaleti is the second shortest stage of the seven you will tackle. Do not be fooled by its short distance. The speeds you will reach will be astronomical; one slight error on the loose gravel surface will send you off into the trees to never be seen again! The technical final sector can catch you if you start losing concentration.

Service - 45 Min

SS3 & SS4: Kirsits/Mazilmaja - Morning - Clear/Part Cloud - 8.4km

Fast, straight, and concentration-sapping, the best tip for these stages is to listen to your co-driver's calls. Do not get distracted by the top speed on the long straights, or you will undoubtedly miss your mark!

Service - 45 Min

SS5: Podnieki - Afternoon - Clear - 9.9km

A half loop, Podnieki is the most technical stage in this collection of seven. The fast, straight gravel roads are mostly replaced with significant drop-offs into deep ditches and trees ready to snag you off the road at any second. Keep the momentum up, and you can tame this near 10km beast.

Service - 45 Min

SS7: Mazilmaja - Dusk - Clear - 8.5km

This stage repeats SS4 and will give you a false sense of confidence, as you have already completed it once. Be aware that your car's tyres will be brand new, and you will want to get it over and out of the way. Proceed with caution! The new tyres won't save you if you hit a jump too fast or are travelling on your roof!

Maybe that felt a bit monotonous on a short event, as SS1 also started with Mazilmāja, while its later half missed a pass in reverse. But meh, not much to do, when the main event/dlc issue is that those ~26km feel short, as they go by too quickly.

Regarding possible incidents (and with scarce knowledge of this newer course), unsure if it was the safest repeat choice, because it felt the most dangerous 4 section stage in Latvia to rocket through due to many blind landings over corner edges, specially in that direction. Surprisingly, at SS7 on harder+older tyres and less visibility at dusk, I ended up with the exactly same time as on SS4 by day -- but that just shows how much I was afraid to trash my run mid-event.

But humm, having it at night might yet work fine by reducing risk taking, and overall speed at those critical spots.
