The newest addition to the EA Sports WRC DLC roster, Le Maestros, has been a great success with players and has extensively bolstered the title's car list. But we want to know which car class you would expand upon in EA Sports WRC.

It could be a spread of fire-breathing Group B monsters or a club-level rally class for small hatchbacks and saloons. Whatever side of the rally spectrum you want to compete in, let us know in the comments below and attach a photo of some of the liveries you would love to see added alongside your vehicles of choice!

EA Sports WRC content roadmap

Without a structured 2025 roadmap, it is impossible to determine precisely which direction EA Sports will take with its rally sim. However, the community has a voice; if enough noise is made, the developers might listen!

The Le Maestros pack was a fantastic start to 2025 for the rally sim, especially as the title often struggles to retain the crown of the king of rally simulators. DiRT Rally 2.0 and Richard Burns Rally frequently pull in more player numbers and user-created content.

The January player numbers for EA Sports WRC on Steam were positive, with a slight increase of 4%. It might not seem like a lot, but compared to many of the much bigger titles around it, staying in the positives is a serious achievement.

With 2025 well underway, we want to know which car class you would expand upon in EA Sports WRC. If you are struggling to find answers, here are a few cars and courses on the OverTake team's wishlists!

Michel (Rally Expert):

Toyota Celica Turbo 4WD, Carlos Sainz. Arguably, it is one of history's most famous rally cars.

Modern or historic Hillclimb class. Crazy aero and could be amazing fun on the tarmac stages!

Connor:

Mazda 323 4WD Gp Rally Car. It won the 1987 Swedish rally but could not replicate its success elsewhere. Despite lacking trophies, it still holds a special place in my heart.

Yannik:

Toyota Celica Turbo 4WD, Carlos Sainz. Thinking along the same lines as Michel, this monster is overdue for its debut!

Angus:

Modern RGT: A return for the class could see Aston Martins and Porsche GT3s make their anticipated debut on the tarmac rally stages of EA Sports WRC

Luca:

Rallycross: Unlikely, but rallycross is always chaotic and proved a popular mode in the DiRT Rally series.

In the comments below, let us know which class and cars you want to see in EA Sports WRC!

Circling around the 87-89 Group A era with the Celica ST-165 and 323, I gotta say also the titles-winning Delta, preferably the HF 4WD (‘87).

But knowing Codies with their laziness, I would rather say the ST-205, as that already was a model that could be used. Or more models they could update from the past to use in future DLCs. Like the Evo IX, all Group N Imprezas, Quattro S1 E2 (non-bodykited), Fiesta WRC 2011, i20 R5, i20 WRC 2014, SpaceStar R5, Corsa S1600, DS21, 240z, Fiesta R2, 307 WRC, Swift S1600, the entire RGT class or even BYDs

I absolutely love driving the 2000's WRCs, so those would be on my wishlist. Namely the Corolla WRC and the Lancer WRC04. Corolla is the only thing missing for a CMR 2.0 reunion. Also some Group A gems, like the Lancer Evo IV and the infamous Celica ST205.

I would prefer that before they make more cars that they fix certain things in the game. As an example, I still can't get replays to go forward since I can't program a button for this feature. If there is a fix that I missed then please let me know. I understand that it is really made for consoles but having to use the keyboard, mouse, and various buttons to work the menus is such a pain that I have just about quit playing. VR is also something I wish they would put time into. Sorry to be off topic but getting more cars into this games seems very much pointless when they need to put resources into making the actual game play better and easier.

I'd actually prefer they move certain cars out of certain classes, or at the least balance them. I don't want them removed from the game, but they ruin the class they are in by being so dominant that they make the other cars in their class irrelevant.

1. The Ford Escort MK2 McRae Motorsport (H3 RWD.) In my testing it was ten seconds faster over a three minute stage, only hampered by longer braking distances because it was going so much faster.

2. The DJM Motorsport McRae R4 (NR4.) 5 seconds faster than the other cars in the class over the same three minute stage, by my estimation. More than that though, it feels nothing like the other two. It feels more like a specially built buggy than the lightly modified production cars that are supposed to make up the class.

3. Split the WRC 97-11 class. It has a noticeable divide between the earlier cars and the later cars. I think 2001 might be a good split point, but I'm not sure where the best split point would be.

To actually answer your question:

1. The RGT class was a fun modern RWD option, which we don't really get from anything else. Accordingly, I think it would be fun to add some/any/all of the cars from Dirt Rally 2.0 for this.

2. The Citroen DS 21, not because it's a good car or because I like it, but because it would add something to the class (H1 FWD) by being different and weird.

No RGT and no WRX

We need all the famous Celicas and Corollas.
And the 1998 Escort Wrc from Juha Kankkunen (with the smaller wing)

Would be also nice to get alle the important car liveries for all cars and not only one per car....

Not enough WRC cars from 2000s, 2010s and Group A from 1990s.

Where are old Toyotas? Are those rumours about EA and Toyota not getting along true?

Corolla WRC (if I had to pick one, it would be Corolla WRC)
Celica ST185
Fiesta WRC '14 (but '11 also would do)
Lancer Evo IV N4
Lancer Evo IX N4
Swift S1600
Punto S1600 2004
208 R2
Impreza WRC S12
Impreza WRX N12 N4

Maybe:
Fiesta S2000
Yaris WRC '17

oh, and the old F2 cars:
Golf Mk3 Kit Car
Skoda Felicia Kit Car
Opel Astra GSI (group A7)

and one more:
Sierra Cosworth 4x4 :)

Originally, I really hoped for the RGT class, with an Abarth, an Alpine and a Porsche; all brands Codemasters seem to have good relations with.

At this point though, if I have to pick one, it would be the new 2012-2016 class. It has three cars, but with just two additions (Fiesta, i20) it would completely cover that era. No Toyota licence needed! I fell back in love with rallying in that period and, to me, those were cars that the drivers really had to drive aggressively in, instead of the more modern 'how controlled can you be' machines.

I would swap any new additions for a rearranging of the classes though. There is a great class with many of the 70s classics (would love to see a Datsun or a Porsche in it) in but for some ridiculous reason, the Lancia Stratos is instead grouped with the RWD Group A cars and a modern-spec Escort. There's a huge class spanning from 1997-2011 which could easily be split into two. There's a Nova in with a Mini?!

That said, content isn't the issue with the game for me; it's the game itself. Again, I'd swap any new additions for a version of DR2's career mode.

WE WANT RALLYCROSS

You want rallycross. I don't want it anywhere near my rallying game personally, thanks.

Why can't we have everything? It's a tripleA title isn't it? This is why developers should make their games fully modable. It increases their life significantly and reduces the work the developers have to do.
