Version 2.2.0 of EA Sports WRC releases 28 January at 12 pm CET, with the Le Maestros Content Pack along with a whole range of changes and fixes.

The Le Maestros Content Pack is the latest content add-on to be coming to EA Sports WRC, celebrating the success of both French drivers and car manufacturers. With the exception of 2019, when Estonian driver Ott Tänak won the driver's title, every season from 2004 to 2021 was won by a Frenchman named Sébastien. Loeb from 2004 to 2012, and Ogier from 2013 onwards.

As for marques, Citroën and Peugeot have collected eight and five manufacturers championships, respectively. The majority of those titles came between 2000 and 2012, with only two of those seasons not being won by either brand.

But along with all the content that we covered here, there is also a great range of other changes, so here is everything new you can expect to see in the latest update to EA Sports WRC.

EA Sports WRC: All Changes

The first major change is a brand new home screen, which takes the form of a garage space decked in pictures of cars released in the Le Maestros pack. The game's "splash screen" has also been updated with new artwork. There are over 80 new nationalities to choose from, bringing the grand total to over 170.

There is also a change to the livery selection screen, 20 new decals to choose from in the custom livery creator and an additional ten levels for the Rally Pass from 50 to 60.

Looking good. I hope to purchase this when released. Hoping the price is realistic. This is a great sim game. I am having a lot of fun with it.

Edit: Just bought it ($A14.95). Loving it !!! ;)

So I would easily fire the person who is responsible for DLC planning.

This sentence alone disqualifies the DLC for me at least:
"Please note that new cars from Le Maestros Content Pack are only available in Time Trial, Moments, Quick Play & Clubs at launch."
Just like the last DLC where the new rally´s overwrote some old ones WTF. No, I can do without that. Other than that, I like the game

Still no mention of end of stage performance drops for AMD in the patch notes... sigh...

Yeah, to me this is utterly ridiculous and a sign of how far the game's career mode has fallen since DR2. DR2's game with the WRC physics and content would have been spot on; why they put so much effort into breaking this formula I will never understand. How do you design a game for DLC that doesn't integrate with your main single-player modes?

I dont feel like buying new DLC, when the game still is a blurry mess and stages are lacklustre

I know it is not a popular opinion but I actually like the Stages of WRC Generations/Kylotonn way more (in terms of design, looks etc.).
Also the career mode actually, which makes me really sad. I love "licensed" games because I want that proper career feel in it.

No need to "excuse" for. Most players still prefer Dirt Rally 2 fe. or the good old RBR.

Personally long time after RBR - Dirt Rally 1 was a suprise which i enjoyed a while. After that the Kyloton-WRC games and Dirt Rally 2 did not gave me a FFB which i was hoping for. On the contrary the FFB on my T300 and later my Fanatec DD felt disappointing. So did the recycled stages within DR2.
However i played WRC Generations on a gamepad and chasecam, and had some arcade fun with it.

So i was expecting nothing from EA WRC. But after a bit tweaking i can enjoy rallying again. No matter what the others says, it is no RBR class, but finally again i have fun with a Rally game on my wheel again.

Back to topic: like said above the DLC´s are a no-go if you play career mode....

You're probably aware, but there's a physics mod that comes with a ffb tweak available for WRCG. I find the ffb reasonable on my g29, with in-game steering sensitivity at 1.5.

The major EA reconnection bug has finally been fixed in the Moments category. Also, the DLC added 12 special Moment challenges to my chagrin
