Simucube launches an all-in-one software for its devices: Simucube Tuner 2.5 is now available, including auto-switching profiles and the option to use Simucube wheels wirelessly with any wheel base.
After first showing the new software at Sim Formula Europe 2025, Simucube Tuner 2.5 has now officially launched. Claimed to be "one of the biggest software updates in Simucube's history" by the Finnish company itself, Tuner 2.5 gives sim racers control of all their Simucube devices in a single piece of software, effectively eliminating the need for the True Drive software.
Tuner 2.5 allows users to set up their Simucube wheel bases, steering wheels and pedals without the need to switch between different software. It also comes with additional improvements, such as automatic profile switching: According to Simucube, Tuner 2.5 automatically detects which sim and car you are running and switches your settings accordingly. This is compatible with all ActivePedals and Simucube 2 wheel base versions.
"Automatic profile switching has been requested by the community a lot and for a long time, and finally we had all the components to implement it: the telemetry data from the games – which cars to use – and now that Simucube 2 is also in Tuner, we can implement this system for all of our devices", explains Lassi Hämäläinen, Software Architect & Senior Software Developer for Simucube.
Making the switch should also be relatively easy, as True Drive offline profiles can be imported to Tuner 2.5. Online profiles, meanwhile, can be downloaded as well, but not uploaded yet, as Simucube is looking to rebuild the Paddock sharing system.
Furthermore, using Simucube wireless wheels with Tuner 2.5 allows them to be run in combination with any wheel base, and Intricate LED profiles are possible to create with Tuner 2.5, too. Additionally, button remapping can now be done via the Simucube Link Hub, eliminating the need to remap buttons or load profiles in-game when switching between wireless wheels.
This does not mean only Simucube's own wheels like the Tahko and Valo models, but many more that are compatible with Simucube wirelessly - check out the full list as of March 2025 below.
Meanwhile, a torque linearity filter and new ActivePedal profiles created by Team Redline as well as by drifter Mika Keski-Korpi are also part of the update, the latter replicating Keski-Korpi's real drift car's pedal feel.
Simucube Tuner 2.5 is available via the Simucube website.
