Sim racing hardware brand Simagic will have to do without one of its co-founders: Tyler Wang has left the company.
Recent years have seen the arrival of plenty of sim racing hardware manufacturers. Not too long ago, it was mostly Logitech, Thrustmaster and Fanatec who where known to those sim racers who were not already deeply invested in the hobby, but in 2025, there are tons of options out there - Simagic being one of them.
The company has established itself as the manufacturer of quality equipment since its founding in 2018 - but one of the co-founders of Simagic will no longer be with the company: Tyler Wang has announced his departure. While not giving a specific reason, multiple Facebook posts as well as a YouTube video on the matter seem to hint at Wang not agreeing with the direction the company is choosing to take.
"Currently, there are significant changes happening. While I respect my partner's decisions, the truth is that my role and contributions to the industry remain centrail to what Simagic has become today", stated Wang in one of the posts made in the Sim Racing Facebook group that stands at over 114.000 members.
Further posts focus on authenticity in the sim racing business, "staying true to our values, and how we can all contribute to a healthier, more positive community." Wang looks to stay in the sim racing industry and is open for new projects: "I keep thinking about how we can truly make a difference. Whether it's about improving experiences, offering more affordable products, or just bringing better featues to the table, the focus for me remains on making a meaningful impact.
"The vision is clear: we need to create a sim racing world that's more accessible, inclusive, and innovative - where everyone's voice is heard and everyone feels welcome."

Furthermore, a prototype of an active pedal was shown in Dortmund as well. This could also release in 2025, which does not seem unlikely considering MOZA Racing has its own active pedal (called mBooster) in the works. Both are aiming to offer an active pedal for the fraction of the price of Simucube's ActivePedal Pro and Ultimate versions. The Finnish company pioneered the concept and first unveiled it in 2022.

Simagic In 2025: Customizable Wheel Rims, Active Pedal?
2025 should be an interesting year for Simagic, even without Wang. At the 2024 SimRacing Expo in Dortmund, the company presented a range of new, customizable wheel rims including a neat hybrid display that can be magnetically mounted to a wheel or a wheel base.Simagic Zeus GT wheel rim featuring a MagDock display at SimRacing Expo 2024.
