Attention, touring car fans: Our Premium Members can relive one of the most popular eras of this type of racing in the OverTake Racing Club this week - in both Assetto Corsa and Automobilista 2!
Screaming engines, packed grandstands, and cars that closely resembled those you could buy yourself the week after the race - touring car racing used to be massively popular. Many consider the early 1990s the absolute height of DTM, Germany's domestic series that even saw former F1 World Champion Keke Rosberg and future World Champion Michael Schumacher compete.
Not one, but two events will pay hommage to this era in our Racing Club this week: First up is the Assetto Corsa contest at the Red Bull Ring on Tuesday, April 8. Group A cars may have never raced at the circuit as part of any DTM season even when it still was the Österreichring, but it should still provide a great canvas for close, exciting battles.

Collision penalties:
Collisions penalties with other drivers are enabled, you will receive two warnings then a time penalty for a third collision.
In case you cannot make it on Tuesday or if you simply prefer a different sim, look no further than Saturday, April 12. Our Racing Club heads out on track in Group A cars again, this time in AMS2 and at Montreal's 1988 configuration.
Most definitely not a stop on any DTM calendar ever, the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in hits high-kerbed configuration - including the not-yet-straightened back straight - should prove challenging, with several relatively fast corners to test the little aerodynamic downforce the cars have.

This combo was popular last week but due to Paul's crammed Sunday schedule we'll run some races on Tuesday night.
If it still proves popular then we can run series following some of the races in the 1994 DTM Championship.
These cars should have some close racing on this beautiful circuit in the Austrian mountains.
Paul has suggested that the Alfa needs it's restrictor reduced from 25% to 15% - so I've made that change...
