Needs CustomShadersPatch v0.2.0 or higher.
Unpack archive to "...steamapps\common\assettocorsa\" folder.
With this LUA app you can place custom objects on track, optional auto loading next session.
Already included are 48 objects: a spinning AC-logo, various cones, poles, flags, markers, a Start/Finish gate, 2 lights, 3 tyre-stacks, 6 trees.
Also included: 13 AC-dummy objects (AC_PIT/AC_START/AC_TIME/AC_AB_TIME... in ...apps\Lua\TrackDecoration\obj\AC_objs\)
--lets you easily build new layouts with new spawn points/more pits from within the game ("kn5Join" needed)
You can add more by placing your own KN5's inside "obj/" folder
...assettocorsa\apps\Lua\TrackDecoration\obj\
(or one level sub-folders). See readme.txt in app folder, there is a link to an ObjectsPack with >80 objects by RMi (unpack to apps\Lua\)
They can be AC_POBJECT...'s too if you want (for a kn5) ...but...
Objects loaded with the app do NOT have physics, my app "CustomLicenseTest" also has custom objects, and they can be physical per Challenge! (its still work in progress)
Saves in "models.ini" format as
...assettocorsa\apps\Lua\TrackDecoration\dataSections\trackname[_layout].ini
If you want to share your creation with someone else, they need this file. They will also need this TrackDeco app, and put that file in dataSections\ folder too.
If an ai line exists, there are options to automatically place cones on apexes around the track (see image: inside green rectangle)
There are 12 buttons to rotate and
move objects, keep holding to keep moving. In front there are two checkboxes "slow" and "fast", they make movement - you guessed it - slower or faster. Shortcuts also work: Shift and Control. Left-click on the small "┌" to select all, right click to remove selection.
-the # checkbox makes names visible above objects
-selected objects get an arrow pointing at them (might be inside big objects)
-you can zoom in/out on those small object-previews with mousewheel-scroll
-on top of "TrackDecoration.lua" there are some parameters for KN5's in "obj" folder (lights and object z-offset)
If you dont know what a "...kn5" or a "models.ini" is, then just ignore "make kn5" button next...
-button "make kn5" to run new tool kn5Join from "ac_cmd_tools"
-can create one combined KN5 from that "models.ini"
-result: ...apps\Lua\TrackDecoration\dataSections\trackname[_layout].KN5
-"kn5Join.exe" is included inside app folder (checked w virustotal)
--AC_PIT/AC_START/AC_HOTLAP dummies should be correctly numbered according to order from current INI file
Note: the kn5 generated is not used by the app, the app also does not move files or prepare a new layout - what you do with the KN5 is up to you.

Includes a compass, based on
camera view, textures based on BeamNG compass
https://beamng.com/threads/compass-heading-indicator.8658/
---
Note1: the app assumes Objects in KN5's are placed at 0,0,0
Note2: with CSP version older than 0.2.8 - on first time adding/loading a KN5 it might be black, next session it should have correct textures. The CSP option General/"New KN5 loader" should be off for it to work.
Note3: i know the small object previews are a bit janky atm...
Note4: for some objects shadows might not work correctly with CSP versions lower than 0.2.8
