NAMeS+AI: Real Drivers for AMS2 Mods includes a complete set of custom-AI files that adds real driver names for all car mods available for AMS2--that's over 3,000 additional grid places and counting! Drivers were matched to specific, historic liveries as much as possible, and all files feature drivers who raced or drove each car (or, in a few cases, the same marque) in reality.
Please note that custom-AI files in AMS2 are only available during single-player races; consequently, multiplayer races that utilize AI to fill the grid will not display custom driver names.
This custom-AI set features real drivers for all mod cars for AMS2 (too many to list) authored by the following modders:
AMS2 Modding: Thunderflash
PCARS Modding Team
KAOS Modding Team
4ontheFloor: RacerXtc
TAMS2SP: Xela1, WOLF, Edu-RC213v
VRC: AMS2 | ARC Pack
Rober: Opel Omega EVO DTM
Canrod88: Ferrari 296 GT3, Ford Mustang GT3, Acura ARX-06

NAMeS+AI Real Drivers for AMS2 Mods.rar contains 4 distinct, AMS2CM-ready archive files. Each of these .rar files includes a z - prefix to ensure installation after the car mods themselves. The four .rar files have been designed to complement each other as follows:
Option 1: Real drivers with customized AI attributes (i.e., note the +AI in the file names).
z - NAMeS+AI Real Drivers for AMS2 Mods - This file features real drivers, with custom AI attributes, for all mod cars in AMS2. The set currently utilizes an array of attributes based on AMS2 V1.56; a future update for all AI attributes will be released in response to AMS V1.6.
z - NAMeS+AI+skins for AMS2 Mods - an add-on .rar file that can be installed alongside the file above that works seamlessly with various TAMS2SP community skins (e.g., WOLF, Xela1, deCarera, spanga). In other words,
install both
z - NAMeS+AI Real Drivers for AMS2 Mods
and
z - NAMeS+AI+skins for AMS2 Mods
to activate real drivers, with custom attributes, across all car mods when using additional TAMS2SP skins.
Option 2: Real drivers who display the mod's default AI behavior.
z - NAMeS Real Drivers for AMS2 Mods.rar - This file features real drivers for all mod cars in AMS2. The custom-AI files contain driver name and nationality only, so that all drivers exhibit the exact same characteristics as designed by the original modder. This version may be utilized by social media influencers who want to judge a mod on its own merits while enjoying the added immersion of AI competitors with real driver names. Savvy Youtubers will do the larger AMS2 community a favor by using either set of driver names (and including a link here) to help new AMS2 users find an easy-to-use resource to locate all things AMS2. Those who grow tired of reading the oft-repeated question, "Where can I find this or that mod?" at the Reiza forums will appreciate it.
z - NAMeS+skins for AMS2 Mods - an add-on .rar file that can be installed alongside the file above that works seamlessly with various TAMS2SP community skins (e.g., WOLF, Xela1, DeCarera, Rober). In other words,
install both
z - NAMeS Real Drivers for AMS2 Mods
and
z - NAMeS+skins for AMS2 Mods
to activate real drivers, with default attributes, across all car mods when using additional TAMS2SP skins.

Installation
Installation of the original NAMeS: Real Drivers for AMS2 mod is strongly recommended to ensure proper activation of all custom-AI files during multiclass events, regardless of what combination of mods is selected.
Currently, AMS2CM represents the gold-standard of AMS2 mod management. The program is very easy to use and extremely helpful in organizing and activating all AMS2 mods, including any NAMeS mod.
Either drag-and-drop the NAMeS archive (as-is) onto the AMS2CM window, or manually move the downloaded NAMeS archive (as-is) (along with any accompanying mods) into the Automobilista\Mods\Disabled folder, select the NAMeS file (along with all other mods you want activated) from your list of available mods, and hit "Apply".
Troubleshooting
With all the mods out there, and with the ability to install them either manually or with AMS2CM, occasionally a user might end up with a mismatch between a custom-AI file and custom livery file. When this happens, the custom driver names for the affected class will fail to display in the sim. Short of completing a full re-install of AMS2, here's what to do to eradicate any niggling, mismatched .xml files that are messing things up:
1). Deactivate any mods using AMS2CM.
2). Delete your Automobilista 2\Vehicles folder.
3). Delete your Automobilista2\UserData folder.
4). Run a Steam Integrity Check (i.e., "Verify integrity of game files") to let Steam reinstall the deleted folders. This step also lets Steam install any other game files that may have been compromised.
5). Activate any mods (including NAMeS+AI) using AMD2CM. The title of the NAMeS+AI archive file has been designed to install after other mods on the AMS2CM list.
Here's a further step, technically unrelated to this issue, but one that I employ regularly during Beta cycles:
6). Delete your Documents\Automobilista 2 folder.
Typically, I generate a brand new Documents\Automobilista 2 folder after every Beta update. I know all my settings by heart at this point and can create a new AMS2 profile in under 5 minutes. I can't tell you the number of minor differences that creep in between builds--ones that I initially thought were an issue--that simply disappear after deleting an old AMS2 profile created during a previous build. AMS2 is weird that way, but it's a 100% fixable issue on the user's end. Just be sure to make a backup of any custom setups beforehand to transfer over to the new profile!
Thank you for your interest in making AMS2 a better motorsport simulation--and remember:
Without NAMeS, you're racing against nobody!
Please note that custom-AI files in AMS2 are only available during single-player races; consequently, multiplayer races that utilize AI to fill the grid will not display custom driver names.
