On February 19th, the first content update for the early access of Assetto Corsa EVO arrives with Fuji Speedway and two thoroughbred Italian performance cars from Lamborghini and Lancia.

Since releasing on January 16th, the early access for Assetto Corsa EVO boasted five tracks (some with alternative layouts) and 20 cars to choose from. Kunos also subsequently released a roadmap, confirming certain additional tracks releasing at intermittent points before the expected full release later this year.

We are now fast approaching that first point where more content will be added and as shown in the roadmap, that first track is Fuji Speedway in Japan. The circuit is the former home of the Japanese Grand Prix and now the World Endurance Championship's stop off in the land of the rising sun.

The circuit will not be the only piece of content getting added, as two famous Italian marques will be present for the first time in AC EVO.

Assetto Corsa EVO: New Cars

First up is the Lamborghini Huracán STO, which is the lightweight version of the standard Huracán that has its 5.2-litre V10 producing 640 horsepower, 30 more than standard. As a result, it can go from 0-60mph in just three seconds and all the way to 192mph. Plus, it has all the fins and gills one would come to expect from a Lamborghini of old, compared to the rather aesthetically conservative and tame standard car.

As for the other car, it is the Lancia Delta HF Integrale "Evoluzione 2" which has its pedigree from the world of rallying. Its production ran from 1987 to 1994, and its 2.0-litre turbocharged Inline-4 delivers 215 horsepower that it delivers to all four wheels. Marking a move away from the rear-wheel drive philosophy that the brand prided itself early on during their time in the World Rally Championship with the Lancia Rally 037 or Stratos, for instance.

The update is arriving on February 19th, so keep an eye on the Steam page for the update when it releases.

Tell me "Kunos", what good is more content, if the product itself is unusable?

-Terrible optimization.
-Terrible UI.
-Terrible FFB especially over the limit.
-No multiplayer. Not even a basic one where you set up your own server and race.
-No mouse steering support for many who don't have a wheel.

Keep your token gesture, focus on these.

OMG 0.1.6 it's going to be the end of all other simulations... :roflmao:

Why is Fuji getting a release this early? I guess it's a WEC track that isn't that popular for a DLC...

More worrying for me is that the focus on street cars seems to be continuing... Ah well... I guess it'll be good to relive the good old days after the tariff crash...

All of the communication they've done has indicated that roadcars are the focus. Consumer sim studios can't make reasonable models of racecars and there's a niche to be filled in the roadcar category as evidence by AC's popularity so it makes sense IMO.

All of the racecars are in ACE just to make the racecar fans happy. You're probably gonna be disappointed if you're waiting for multiple full grids.

FFB of my Accuforce wheel in ACE is one of the best of all sims already Despite the fact the telemetry is probably only half-cooked at the moment as was mentioned on SimXperience forum.

No real road, static grip for dry and wet, no tyre warming, how others can compare this to anything ( at this stage ) , very thin.

That's a good reminder.

I actually look forward to, at one point, having that comprehensive, cohesive road car experience. I think Kunos have always had Gran Turismo in mind*, not that they need replicate it but dive deeper into the passion for road cars.

EDIT: *) When I am thinking of GT, it's the first few titles and it's road cars, with race cars, including the odd F1-type car, being a nice extra flavour.

The reason I am clamouring for an openwheeler at the early access stage is that, for me, that - any high downforce openwheeler - would give a better idea of the physics, with the limit of grip being that much more tangible. And just for the sake of comparison, going from a regular road car to that. And as a VR player, that's that much more incentive to try and work with the settings to make it run as smooth as possible.

I am also certain the game will eventually cater to all tastes, in whatever scope, and I am not looking for more cars in the early access, but rather more different kind of cars, racecars too.

As for some implying we should be happy and quiet with "free" content, news flash, you've already paid for the content, you are just waiting to get it. And I am fine with what it's cost and Kunos have earned my respect with what they've done so far for simulation games.

If you look at the early access plan when you open the game you will see a time line (without dates) of various moments for the updates and content drops. This is the content that is planned for 1.0 release. This has to be released no matter if the game is fixed or not. Also different teams work on different things.

All the things that you listed are normal for early access but won't be for 1.0 release. Of course the game will also have to be improved further after official release as nothing can be perfect at launch.

Work in progress means anything to you? These things can't be implemented in 2 weeks, get in the bin with this b!tching already. Also it's a planned content drop not a token of gesture, seen the roadmap? Multiplayer will probably come before the free roam map, somewhere late spring early summer, but that's been communicated by the dev team. They want to focus on overall stability before adding multiplayer into the mix.
Only thing I can agree on with you, is the terrible UI. They were onto something great with ACC, I don't know why they changed it all over again.

I wonder what communication you are listening to. This is from TraxxionGG's interview with Marco Massarutto:
It's a combination of things because we want to feed different kind of tastes. People want to race. The esports in the last years grown so much and we want to make AC Evo eligible for official Esports competitions.

So Esports is still a part of it?

Absolutely. Track racing is absolutely in our DNA. This is the reason why we started to do this job actually. But we believe that also just the pleasure of driving is something that people like to experience a lot in the the first Assetto.

It's always amazing to see that even in 2025 there are people who complain about CONTENT when they don't understand that it's being built by different persons compared to the ones who write the code, so having two, five, fifty more cars and tracks doesn't slow down the rest of the development (unless some specific features have to be coded for those cars).

Having said this, it is worth to read some insight of the current FFB's status from Nils on the official forum (click here), so to understand why some "effects" are present and others aren't.

So, with the "First Content Drop" we are going from 20 cars to 22 cars. What a stunning number of new cars!

On the official AC EVO website: "Advanced force feedback technology makes steering feel fuller and more visceral" The biggest disappointment in AC EVO is the ffb. So that is what Kunos means with "fuller and more visceral". Good to know.

Your link is going to a Assetto Corsa Competizione website and "You must be logged in to do that."

A few quotes from a rather long text:
Currently there are a few things on tire level, that are not yet calibrated, dialed in, or simply active at all. What you are currently seeing on that front is the general foundation and direction minus a lot of details, that are yet to come.

Throughout future patches the tire will undergo changes, as more features are activated and/or further dialed in. This will sometimes lead to more detail being experienced through the FFB, while other changes might result in reduced detail again. In the longrun however, you can expect more information being available than there is now, as the tire will do more things and they will - without any change to how the FFB works - lead to a change in FFB.
And
Currently the tire is, among other things, neither (very) temperature nor load sensitive, leading to a bit of a "flat" experience in terms of grip not really responding to changes in temperature or load. This means also the FFB - being at the end of the chain of what is happening physics wise - cannot portray these differences in grip, as they are not there. Thus, you can have the impression of being a bit in the dark as to what the car is doing [...]
And
All this is to say: You are correct when some of you feel a bit alienated or left alone by the FFB, when you are a person relying on FFB predominantly over visual or audio clues. This is not by design, nor can it be considered a bug, it simply reflects the current state of development. When it all still feels "numb" bei 1.0 we gotta talk. No one here likes uncommunicative FFB either.

Oh I went in knowing I'd be disappointed because it's a street car focused game...

I don't think Forza or Gran Tourismo have suffered from a lack of a market over the years... Both seem to of been able to shovel out titles of varying quality without a problem with their bottom line...

Given Kunos has been dealing with backlash over ACC for years it's no small wonder they've gone for a different genre and focused on a car collection game rather than a sim racing title...

Lol @ tires with almost no slip, load or thermal sensitivities. If I'd do that, I'd get burned at the stake, but when a studio does that, "just like my real car".

Oh yeah been there done that...

That type of hypocrisy ain't new or part of one specific group of fans... It's all one developer biased fans... No matter what the developer shovels into the mix "it's the most realistic experience ever"...

AC, AMS2 or an ISI sim it's all the same... Even if you copy the developers flavour 1:1 they'll complain that it's too hard or too easy compared to the developer content because of that weird football team type mentality they have where they always have to build up the developers egos...
