Assetto Corsa EVO: First Content Drop Coming February 19

On February 19th, the first content update for the early access of Assetto Corsa EVO arrives with Fuji Speedway and two thoroughbred Italian performance cars from Lamborghini and Lancia.

Since releasing on January 16th, the early access for Assetto Corsa EVO boasted five tracks (some with alternative layouts) and 20 cars to choose from. Kunos also subsequently released a roadmap, confirming certain additional tracks releasing at intermittent points before the expected full release later this year.

We are now fast approaching that first point where more content will be added and as shown in the roadmap, that first track is Fuji Speedway in Japan. The circuit is the former home of the Japanese Grand Prix and now the World Endurance Championship's stop off in the land of the rising sun.

The circuit will not be the only piece of content getting added, as two famous Italian marques will be present for the first time in AC EVO.

Assetto Corsa EVO: New Cars

First up is the Lamborghini Huracán STO, which is the lightweight version of the standard Huracán that has its 5.2-litre V10 producing 640 horsepower, 30 more than standard. As a result, it can go from 0-60mph in just three seconds and all the way to 192mph. Plus, it has all the fins and gills one would come to expect from a Lamborghini of old, compared to the rather aesthetically conservative and tame standard car.

As for the other car, it is the Lancia Delta HF Integrale "Evoluzione 2" which has its pedigree from the world of rallying. Its production ran from 1987 to 1994, and its 2.0-litre turbocharged Inline-4 delivers 215 horsepower that it delivers to all four wheels. Marking a move away from the rear-wheel drive philosophy that the brand prided itself early on during their time in the World Rally Championship with the Lancia Rally 037 or Stratos, for instance.

The update is arriving on February 19th, so keep an eye on the Steam page for the update when it releases.

Oh yeah been there done that...

That type of hypocrisy ain't new or part of one specific group of fans... It's all one developer biased fans... No matter what the developer shovels into the mix "it's the most realistic experience ever"...

AC, AMS2 or an ISI sim it's all the same... Even if you copy the developers flavour 1:1 they'll complain that it's too hard or too easy compared to the developer content because of that weird football team type mentality they have where they always have to build up the developers egos...
It's just due to magical thinking and not understanding how simulations work. People assume developers get access to any data, and they assume most/any of that data is usable or even real. Reality can be quite different.

Then there's the issue of time; sim game staff don't have hundreds of hours to work on one car like modders or more privatized simulation developers might have. I've made some cars which have more development time put into them than every car combined in some titles.

Hell, I did a correlation on one car earlier that was detailed enough to need to unbalance the car in crossweight to attain correct handling and tire temps, and the largest model inaccuracy was due to some mysterious heat leak from the engine bay into the LR. I don't think there's *any* game sim car released by a first party that's had thermals correlated at all, or was even accurate enough to be able to correlate thermals on, let alone needing to crossweight the car out of balance to correlate thermals.

The same car released in ACE and people seem to prefer it over mine, despite missing a dozen features and not even being the same car at all in the actual physics parameters. It's just how it is.

That massive WEC logo is there on purpose, surely? It's so prominent in the pic they know how it will be interpreted.

Fuji now, next track COTA, both prominent WEC venues?

Anyway, on topic, neither car holds any interest to me. Until this is an actual racing game with appropriate cars and AI that's better than AC1, I won't consider buying it.

There's a big difference between "this is our tyre model" and "this is our tyre model, it is currently missing a lot of planned features and some of the features might not work as intended but we are actively working on it".

It might become the best tyre model ever, or it might turn out to be rancid arsewater of the worst kind.

Pointing out issues is valuable. Critiquing something rough like it's a finished product is just as pointless and unhelpful as fanboys acting like something is the second coming of sliced bread.

One thing I did notice they have implemented is flatspots. No idea if it's a canned effect or if there's a flat spot on the actual tyre model though. Or I guess it could also just be a random bug that makes your wheel vibrate after locking your brakes.

It's always amazing to see that even in 2025 there are people who complain about CONTENT when they don't understand that it's being built by different persons compared to the ones who write the code, so having two, five, fifty more cars and tracks doesn't slow down the rest of the development (unless some specific features have to be coded for those cars).

Having said this, it is worth to read some insight of the current FFB's status from Nils on the official forum (click here), so to understand why some "effects" are present and others aren't.

Well, I am glad that at least they are aware of the FFB issues. This is a good thing. Better than the praise from fanatic people that only shield devs.

The FFB now ruins everything to me in AC EVO, there is no point to drive anything because it is just a unpleasure experience.

Have they done anything to improve the AI since the early access launch ? Not been following the updates so interested to know if they've done much there.

I bought the game on the first day of launch and I don't plan to start playing until summer. I'm very happy that you follow your route plan forward, good for kunos

Doesn't care. I lost my trust on Kunos....
Why exactly? EVO is early access, you don't have to buy it, you can wait for full release and than judge it, or join now and help developing it.

Was waiting for people to read far too much into the track advertising boards as soon as I saw that picture. And within 3 comments it hasn't disappointed.
So, you think they are using that logo without permission/licensing?

It's part of the track decoration/advertising boards on the real track thats all it is. This is prime example.

People's brains doing 2+2 and getting 6 thinking WEC is gonna be in AC Evo, clowns.
Never said anything about WEC being in EVO, but you know as well as I do that company's don't just assign textures that they don't have licensing for and post pictures. The only clown here is you!!

Wow they licenced a logo to say wec is at fuji to make the track have the same main advert board that it does in real life. So what. You clearly completely missed the point of my initial reply which was nothing to do with the fact they licenced signage.

From my own experience in licensing tracks:

Many tracks include certain "mandatory advertisement boards" which means they are included in the license.
This does not apply to absolutely every banner you see, but some are a "must", others might be "ok" via just asking. (So companies do not license it per se but just asks the company if they are ok with the original advertisement being shown in order to recreate real life as good as possible). Most advertisement is done via this simple "ask for approval" instead of an actual license agreement.
