After a long period of radio silence, the team at Kunos Simulazioni has offered sim racers a heartfelt apology for how the Assetto Corsa EVO Early Access has been handled so far. The video did contain more, such as a new roster of cars and circuits!

It is not news to anyone that the release of Assetto Corsa EVO could have gone better. But the developers at Kunos Simulazioni are passionate and have clearly been hard at work, implementing a multitude of changes and promises for the future. And they indirectly confirmed a number of new cars and tracks, too.

Assetto Corsa EVO New Cars

The latest AC EVO video by Kunos shows a wide range of new vehicles. It is unknown how many will be included in the next update, but any combination of them should be very exciting!

From the Maserati MC20 GT2 known from ACC to the illustrious Ferrari F2004, Michael Schumacher dominated the 2004 season to take his seventh and final F1 World Championship, it seems that there is a vehicle for everyone's taste. The combination of historic Alfa Romeos and modern cars showcases the diverse range of vehicles Kunos aims for in Assetto Corsa EVO.

  • Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GT
  • Alfa Romeo 75 Turbo Evoluzione
  • Caterham Academy
  • Ferrari F2004
  • Honda NSX-R
  • Lotus Exige V6 Cup
  • Maserati MC20 GT2
  • McMurtry Spéirling
  • Porsche 911 Turbo 3.6 (964)

New Circuits

The latest Assetto Corsa EVO video also revealed three new circuits: COTA (as was known from the roadmap), Donington Park, and the Red Bull Ring. All three circuits will have alternative layouts.

New circuits, Donington, COTA and Red Bull Ring have multiple layouts.

But new circuits and cars are not the only changes coming to Assetto Corsa EVO; the new custom grid selector and a nice-looking UI refresher will also be coming soon. These significant changes are a statement of intent from developer Kunos.

If you want open mode at the moment ( use all cars & tracks ) just turn OFF your internet connection.
You then have open mode - that's how I do it ..

you can also go to the settings menue and turn online off :)
Might make it a bit easier instead of really cutting internet (unless you enjoy that no one can disturb you then, that I can understand haha)

I full support the kunos team, i purchased the game, but i always don´t understand where they intend to go.
(You could answer i don´t have to understand !!)

If they want to recreate a AC 1 full modded, it will be very difficult to do better.
It is already an unbelievable good game.
they're not trying to recreate ac1

I prefer unsubscribing from my internet provider each time I want to play AC EVO

Something no one really mention but now that we will have an open wheel, I really hope that Kunos will allow custom drivers model like AC1. The original driver used in AC and ACC really irked me and the hand looked weird, the new driver model is a lot better but the ability to have our own custom helmet like in AC1 with different helmet 3D (instead of the kunos one) would make it better.

Have fun while hot-lapping with that F1 2004

A lot of whingeing in here from grown men acting like spoiled brats. "If I can't drive the 1967 Loinky-sproinky-mobile at the Oystersaucering, on its 1937 Clam Shell GP layout, which was won by Baron von Humblebumblesmirtz, then I don't want the game." The illusion of AC1 having more content than ACE is deluding the folks, they're forgetting that the COMMUNITY had to create the majority of the features they are asking for in ACE.

I'm stealing this quote, it will prove useful later.

One thing I do remember is that Kunos mentioned that "AC 1 mods won't be ported over without passing first through kunos vetting process". Meaning that Kunos has indeed a way to port over AC 1 content to AC EVO.

If that ever comes into action, then maybe we can all be Baron von Bumblebee at Bikini shell 1937.

In any case I'm waiting to see the modding tool kunos will provide. And if it's not rfactor 2 level of "we provide you tools to mod but since we hate you we made the modding process so convoluted you would have time to create a family by the time you finish your first car", then it would take time but i'm not worried about the content of AC EVO, just like how people converted cars from everywhere to AC1, same will happen with EVO with an even more straightforward path.

As for vetting process, kunos approval, etc etc, it would be rule35 of the internet that would apply. If it exists....... It will be used no matter what. We might have a new CSP for that

You re waiting for modding tools? Well the modding in AC is turning to chaos and wild mods. The beginning was the Audi R8 GT3 from a french guy, me myself did al ot of „Endulights“ and other stuff. At the end modding in AC was signed by disrespect and dumb actors lke the guy converted the AMG GT3. Greetings from Xela1

I know full well the iceberg meme of assetto corsa modding scene. And the absolute circus fiesta it is right now.

I also know that as a open wheel enjoyer, modding tool arriving is the only way for me to make the V8 era of F1 cars happen in Assetto Corsa EVO because for sure kunos won't really do anything with that.

Special needs needs modding, even if it leads to all the worst outcome that the modding scene can bring. And actors like simdream

NfS: Assetto Horizon :(
oh wow, someone else who is so stuck in a mental prison they cant even comprehend the idea of a sim with an open world and the ability to change parts. you do realize you can go to lordco IRL and buy a turbo for your car if you want to, right?

They ve teased 24Nords weeks ago - have they? So what s up now? Kids stuff coming and the turn to „hot-lap-simulator“ like kUNOS did with AC1 (eg MC12 GT1, Ferrari F1 2004 and many others lonely cars without any rivals) ;-(
the irony of typing like that and calling other people kids. you know you can do single make races and have a closer race than you could otherwise right? or you can play a more focused sim that has a full class if that's what you prefer? some of us want to properly simulate the feeling of owning a nice sports car and driving on open roads.
