The next update for Gran Turismo 7 is set to arrive sooner than expected, with Kazunori Yamauchi as always posting an obscured image of all the cars arriving on May 15th.
Normally, Gran Turismo 7 updates arrive on the last Thursday of every month ,with the update being teased the week before by series producer and Polyphony Digital CEO Kazunori Yamauchi. But with the next server maintenance notice set for May 15th and Yamauchi posting the signature silhouette image, the new version will arrive on that day after more than a month between updates.
So, time to attempt some guesswork for the cars being added. In the 1.59 update to GT7 is a retro muscle sports car, a supercar, an SUV and like clockwork, a wagon that fills the quota of having at least one car in every GT7 update that the community will be very vocal about.
Now for the big ones. First is a Chevrolet Corvette C5 Z06 from 2001, which has a 5.7-litre V8 producing 405 horsepower. Finally, the one that will most certainly be the one the majority of players will go for: the Ferrari 812 Superfast, which features a 6.5-litre 789 horsepower V12 that is able to get it to a claimed top speed of 211 mph.
It might come across as strange, how we are so certain not just on the models but the versions of the car. Well, that is because it would appear the content for next week's update has been leaked already, and there is plenty of official looking images with these cars circulating on social media.
No official word of these images being legitimate, but they do seem very feasible. All will most likely be revealed the day before the update next week!
Which of these cars are you most looking forward to in the Gran Turismo update 1.59? Let us know in the comments below and join the discussion in our Gran Turismo forum!

GT7 May 2025 Update: New Cars
The distinct flatbed shape at the back is a Suzuki Carry KC from 2012. We were not able to find exact power figures for the Suzuki, but it will not matter since we all know that it will not be long until it gets a typical Gran Turismo engine swap. Directly in front of it is a Honda CR-V E:HEV EX Black Edition, with a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder engine and electric motor apparently producing around 200 horsepower. Now for the big ones.
