May 15th sees the next content update for Gran Turismo 7, and we already knew of the cars getting added, but now we know of everything else arriving alongside them.

Typically released on the last Thursday of every month, the next content update for Gran Turismo 7 arrives tomorrow. Thanks to the actions of an overzealous Sony employee, all cars were immediately identified. The cars getting added are the Ferrari 812 Superfast, Chevrolet Corvette C5 Z06, Honda CR-V E:HEV EX Black Edition, and Suzuki Carry KC.

But it is never just cars that get added; also, the odd new set of races, a track given GT Sophy treatment, and a new mode in the Scapes photography mode are added. All of this will be available in tomorrow's update, so here is everything arriving in Update 1.59 of GT7.

GT7 Update 1.59: Additional Content

First up are three new races, all of which are seemingly catered to the new cars. Firstly there is the Lightweight K-Cup at Eiger Nordwand, which will be able to be raced with the Suzuki along with all the other kei cars, then the American Clubman Cup 700 that the Corvette can compete in. Finally, there is the Ferrari Circuit Challenge at Deep Forest Raceway, which between the CR-V and 812, which one will be able to be raced in that?

Along with all that, another track has been added to the ever-growing list of circuits that can be raced with GT Sophy AI and that is Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. Although unfortunately for many players it is for the layout with the chicane and not the more popular configuration with the two sweeping last two corners.

Finally for the photography enthusiasts, it appears that there will be an option to shoot in 1:1 ratio although such a feature has existed since the game released. What that ends up being, we will find out tomorrow when the update deploys around 6am UTC.

NGL, The game needs sophy ai in career ASAP. I wouldnt mind doing it all over again with the better ai
Do what all over again? What career? I must be missing something because my GT7 doesn't have a career.
Also is it true what everybody is saying? That The Precinct that just came out has better physics than GT7?

Isn't it always free? It's just part of the pattern of releasing an incomplete game these days and then the customer being thankful they gave you what you should have had in the first place. GT6 Had over 1100 cars at launch.
Gt6 had 800 ps2 models so hardly a fair camparsion. Gt7 all have high quality models. And much better sounding cars than gt6. They even nailed the sound of the 812 superfast in the update. All cars for gt7 has been built from scratch. The only ones that is not is the ones that carried over from gt sport. Gt7 now have more premium car models than gt6 did.

Free updates is not given after over 3 years.
Gt7 currently have around 530 cars in total only a few other racing titles have more cars. But thats the cost of having the better quality instead.

And Quality matters so so much more. And nothing comes close. Quantity is rarely a worthwhile metric. Here's to more quality like the Gran Turismo Trophy award given cars from Kaz as such from the Councours d'Elegance. Well over half a century plus a decade and some since first laps on track and it still really impresses.

FWIW enjoying this beast and getting it's quirks tamed is quite a top leaderboard shocker in titles with tens of millions of racers. Intense elegant graceful endeavor that pays off quite nicely.
