If you are not from the shores of the land of tea and biscuits, then you most likely have never heard of the Adrian Flux Arena in King's Lynn, England. The track is a short dirt oval with a tarmac drift track located in the centre, and you can now drift on the dirt or the tarmac in Assetto Corsa.
Located at the top of Norfolk, on the east coast of England, the Adrian Flux Area is a banger racing dirt oval first and foremost. So, seeing it in our Assetto Corsa downloads section certainly excited the British contingent of the OverTake team.
Night or day, the action continues at Kings Lynn.
Initially opened in 1951, King's Lynn or the Adrian Flux Arena as it is now known, has been putting on racing packages and programs for years. Everything from banger racing to national hot rods and drifting has competed here. Hence, the history of the track runs through British motorsport history alongside similar tracks like the legendary Arena Essex and Wimbledon that are sadly no longer with us.
The Toyota AE86 is great on the small dirt oval and even smaller tarmac drift course
This version of the Adrian Flux arena focuses on the drift track, but there is potential for dirt oval racing in the future, whether that be stock cars, banger racing, or dirtbikes. Assetto Corsa has an endlessly deep pool of creative modders; this circuit is a great example.
Ripping your car sideways on the dirt is just as fun as on the tarmac.
The mod is well crafted, albeit a work in progress, with aspects like collision physics on the tractor tyres missing. However, looking past those teething problems, this famous and essential circuit to UK grassroots motorsport culture is finally available to drive in a simulator! This track is the first for creator SupaSteeze, so could other drifting venues be on the horizon?
A fantastic drone-style video documenting the community opening night for this mod!
The default practice position starting point is an interesting and unique feature of the King's Lynn track mod. In classic British motorsport style, you begin your run on the back of a trailer next to a Ford Transit van. This quirky feature adds some character to the tracks and the mod, with each registered pit box having its own van and trailer.
Some cars spawn sideways on the trailer, so be aware that you might have to work your way off it!
Overall, this mod is a fantastic recreation of the Adrian Flux Arena in King's Lynn, a simple but fun circuit with plenty of short dirt oval racing potential alongside the drifting!

Drifting on dirt and tarmac.
This track version is meant to be about the drift track in the middle of the dirt oval, but we found that the dirt oval is just as fun to drift and drive around as the track in the middle! The tarmac track is used for drift practice days, and it is a fantastic and cheap way to use your drift car legally without the competitive atmosphere of structured events.Ripping your car sideways on the dirt is just as fun as on the tarmac.
