An underdog Touring Car for Assetto Corsa, the Lada Vesta NG Super-Production was created with input from the actual manufacturer - which makes for an exciting drive!
On cold brakes, the Lada Vesta loves to lock up the front tyres.
Mostly known for its usage in Russia's one-make Lada racing series, this Vesta is a rare sight outside of its country of origin. However, you can experience this raw touring car with the power of sim racing.
Rocking a modified VAZ-21129 engine, the Lada Vesta NG is worlds away from the stock version of the family saloon car. Equipped with a Garrett turbocharger, this plucky underdog can keep up with TCR and even NGTC spec touring cars in the right circumstances.
This version of the Lada, created by Andrey Korotkov, has Lada LLC data pumped into it, so if you want another accurate touring car to add to your roster, then do not overlook this little Lada.
The Lada Vesta is right at home on the streets of Macau.
The transmission is a 6-speed sequential box with paddle shifting, so if you are missing that pedal on the left, fear not! Throughout the testing of this car, the AI was driving TCR cars, and despite the slightly different build rules, the Lada could hold its own and put itself into the top half of the grid once the tyres were up to temperature.
Whilst the tyres are the subject of conversation, make sure that you really take your time to get heat into those front slicks. Understeer is a real killer of momentum in this car, with it being front-wheel drive. Unfortunately, you can not swap your front and rear tyres over like you can in championships like the BTCC, but lots of weaving and warming work will get you up to speed in around three laps.
The Vesta will push the more aerodynamic TCR class to their limit
This Lada is right at home in a TCR field. A 20-lap race around the fantastic Touring Car venue, the Macau Grand Prix circuit, proved that. The Lada took victory by just 0.600 of a second to the Audi RS3 behind it, and the next Lada was down in 7th place.
If you are looking to add to your touring car field, this Lada will slot right in and be at home straight away. Check out the mod here on OverTake.gg, and if you want to race at Macau, that circuit is also available here!
Tight and short tracks bring the best out of the Vesta.

The Lada Vesta NG Touring Car Experience
Not to be confused with the Vesta TCR that you can drive in RaceRoom, the NG super-production version has significantly less aero, giving the driver a much more violent and raw driving experience. Hanging onto this car at high speed can be a real challenge! On cold brakes, the Lada Vesta loves to lock up the front tyres.
