The US open-wheel series has made quite a few fans over the last few years thanks to its competitiveness, and it OverTake community member @SoundHunterz is one of them. A new IndyCar fan from the UK according to a comment of their own, they have created a 2025 IndyCar livery pack for Automobilista 2 before the real season even started.
Not an easy feat, considering that before the St. Pete season opener, these liveries have to be based on photos from testing and other preseason activities. Despite this, before the green flag flies in Florida on March 2, you can get in the car with any of the 27 drivers' designs on the bodywork already. The liveries also work on the superspeedway aero versions of the cars.
Currently, helmets and driver suits are also not part of the pack, but chould be added later as well. The AI driver performance files will also be updated once a few races are in the books.
The livery pack was created for the Formula USA 2023 car in AMS2, so Reiza's semi-fictional intepretation of a Dallara IR-18 IndyCar. As a result, a few compromises had to be made to adjust to the difference in shape. Furthermore, an extra car is on the grid as well, currently sporting an Alpine livery that players could change up to create their own team.
