The 2025 Daytona 24 Hours are done and dusted, so it is time for our Racing Club to follow up the real event with its own 2.4 Hours of Daytona in Automobilista 2!
The IMSA SportsCar Championship kicked off its 2025 season with a thrilling Daytona 24 that included a historical victory. Just a week prior to the real race, the iRacing Special Event based on the real race took place - but not everyone had a team or the time to do the full 24-hour event.
Should you have caught the Daytona bug by watching the race on the weekend, you might want to take a closer look at this Sunday's Racing Club event in Automobilista 2: There, you can dive into a 2.4-hour multiclass race featuring both the GTP/LMDh prototypes and the GTD/GT3 class to tackle the famous Speedway's road course.
The event takes place on Sunday, February 2, and starts at 13:00 UTC with a 60-minute practice session.
And best of all: It is open to all OverTake members! All you need to do is add your real name to your profile if you have not done so yet as per the Racing Club rules and click "Sign-up" below! It uses our upcoming Race Event Selector plugin that @Christopher E already previewed in his latest community letter. Feel free to try it and leave feedback on how you like it in the comments!
Alternatively, you can also visit the event's forum thread to sign up. There, you can let the organizers know your car of choice, too, so they know how much variety on the grid to expect.
