Rendering [All Platforms]
  • For some HDR displays, the game would automatically configure its HDR Brightness value below 1,000 nits which made the highlights in the image look flat and clamped. Looking forward to trying out the content. Unlike most of the petulant carnival barking man babies that reside on this site, I'm a rarity that can have different things ranging from sims to games and have fun with what they have to offer. Imagine continuously negatively commenting on a game you you don't even own or play. Wild.

Do own it. Don't play it because it's absolute crap and the developers care more about adding rubbish recycled content than actually sorting the issues. It never improves. On pc even after running benchmark it takes hours of messing about to get it to run properly. On xbox it runs worse than any other game out there.

Most others also play most games out there. So have every right to criticise.

Is private multiplayer p2p directly as in if two rigs are in the room playing this Forza against each other do the two rigs directly connect to one another via IP address and pass the race info' to each other and Xbox Live just gives the race the go ahead to start in the beginning. Steam does it like that with lots of software

That is HIGHLY debatable.

There's people on both side of the fence...

Both enjoy too much grip... Much like RaceRoom fans... But at least Forza and RaceRoom have slip curves that act beyond the limit...

You get the rock star feeling and a decent need to correct a mistake...

Content is not the issue... FFB, Sounds, and tyre physics. This is NOT even close to a simulator... DOA.

The definition of arcade or simulation is not set to worldwide rules and as long as its not every discussion is pointless and so what YOU think a "simulation" is or what i think. In the end all consumer products are games for desktop pc and far away from anything like professional software, hardware and it's capebility and precision to simulate vehicle dynamics and aerodynamics. We just play games. And no single person can state their opinion as FACT that game XY is NOT a Sim lol.

Btw: Great update with cool cars and some detailed improvements for the multiplayer imo. :)

Sadly no. Private Multiplayer is just a private multiplayer session where a player can invite their XBL friends. For two players in the same room to get into that session, both would need to have separate XBL accounts and gamertags, and then both connect to the same session over XBL. Linking one console/PC to the other and having an offline multiplayer session is not possible in FM23.

I am having problems with the crutches I used to tweak the graphics on FM23, so I am trying to get used to the default, foggy/dreamy look. Some places it looks OK, but others I simply wish I could jack the colors up a bit. That said, without the Nvidia filters or Reshade, the game is running a little more smoothly for me. FPSs north of 60FPS finally look and feel like what's represented on the screen. Sure, I cannot get ultra sharp graphics out of the game, but at least it isn't micro stuttering all over the place. That and I can turn the render details up to 200%, albeit only on Medium and Low render settings. Also, nighttime is a lot tougher to race (due to the foggy bloomy looks of the vanilla game).

But that aside, the update seems decent so far. I think they may have finally awakened the A.I. because the front 3 are challenging to race against. If it weren't for the bus-stop at Daytona, I would have probably had to settle for a had fought 3rd place, at the opening race of the LMDH series. I hope this isn't a fluke and this behavior continues with the A.I. They didn't back down. Sure, they might have still turned into corners as if I weren't there, and that forced me to plan on passing on straights. But once past them, they stayed right on my 6.
It doesn't fix everything wrong with the A.I. but if this continues, then I have something to look forward to during my single player sessions.
