BeamNG.drive has released another 'Teaser Tuesday' hint for their upcoming update, and rally fans will be pleasantly surprised. The East Coast USA map appears to feature rally props and a countdown screen.

The latest preview of BeamNG's upcoming 0.35 update shows new rally stage props, timing screens, and gazebo setups. The previous update added the simple 'Rally' mode, but this new teaser seems to imply that more structured rally content is on the way.

The main issue with incorporating a realistic rally setup into a title like BeamNG is the implementation of pace notes. No other noises, sounds, or voices are present in the title outside of what you hear from the environment and the vehicles. Adding a voice would mean creating a character, so could the pace notes be AI-generated? Or, at a minimum, read by an AI voice?

The modded version of BeamNG's rally pace notes is AI-generated, so using this software and simply finishing it off with BeamNG's usual flair and precision could be a great way to implement a feature essential for the rally genre. It is safe to say the community is majoritively happy to see more rally-style content!

The rally content added in the 0.34 update was a good start; the uphill tarmac stage, especially, was a highlight. However, the Jungle Rock Island stage was more suited to a rock crawler than a rally car. This new update makes the stages look much more professional, with props and proper rally-style timing.

What do you think about this new upcoming feature in BeamNG? Do you think it could ever start to take away portions of the EA Sports WRC audience? Let us know in the comments down below!

I don't see what is funny Jittas ?
They have no DLC , their only income comes from initial purchase and they are the cheapest sim.
imho they undervalue their product which is just going to get better.

They actually bumped up their price by a few quids lately and then knocked it down a bit. Probably it did more harm than good, but only they know why. Anyway, they are a very small studio (less than 10-15 people I think) and their game is very popular (it competes and wins against Forza Horizon on PC), so they don't need to charge a lot to get a good stream of revenues.

The fact they raise prices before the sale would support my view if anything.

I just think they worth $50 is all ( shrugs )

What do you think they worth ?

Nice write up Connor, always great to see any Sim improve and with BeamNG slowly getting there with each update this could be one to watch...and at the end of the day it's another Sim to enjoy and add to the collection if this is your jam.:)

Yeah and if all these others studios gave away all their new content free how much would their sims cost ?

I purchased BeamNG on sale for $25 ? Worth every penny. I now need to add more ram to my system, 16 gig ain't cutting it. But I will worry about that later. Not a issue.

Well mine is a personal opinion, I think Beam is worth more ( shrugs)

Sorry, but what you think is nothing more then supposition.

110 millions in revenue. As I said, they don't have to charge a lot to make a lot of money. Do you really think you know better than they do? If they charge that much, that means it's the right price for them. As a functional illiterate, I suppose you will continue your useless battle (which you have started yourself). Have fun.

Whilst BeamNG could really do with a couple of rounds of racing circuit focused updates I can see why they've gone down this route...

Sim rallying is relying off of a very old game in RBR to give the purists what they want... Even a lot of the casuals who enjoy easy to drive cars say that Dirt Rally 2.0 and WRC is like being guiding along the track on rails on tarmac stages...

So the gap in the market is larger than it is in circuit racing...

Playing the flood to race for your life is quite the incredible experience, here's to much more great hoonigan simulation in the greatest sim racers going. The more time driving and reaping the rewards or the consequences of lacking skill and great damage is always a winning combination. The BeamNG.drive huge sales and ever growing player base along with ~278k positive reviews shows it works just like gravity.

Price is always subjective. The price set at a given time, will mainly depends on how the majority of the customers perceived the product's value. The fact that they keep the current price, at least tells us that's the optimum amount they can charge right now, to meet their company's current goals. Maybe they can set up a patreon for customers like you, who are willing to pay more
