The Formula One season may be over but there will still be F1 racing of sorts to fill that void in the winter break. The upcoming F1 Sim Racing World Championship is entering its seventh season, and the schedule has just been announced.

Starting out as F1 Esports, the top Codemasters/EA Sports F1 game players race for the official teams for a share of a $750,000 prize pool. Last season saw quite a bit of controversy, whether it was drivers being accused of running grip-increasing software, or alleged disputes between the organisers which saw the season put on ice for three months.

The season concluded with perennial runner-up Frederik Rasmussen finally claim the driver's championship, whilst Ferrari clinched the team's title. With little word on when the next season would start, we now finally know when we can next see the F1 game pros do battle.

F1 Sim Racing 2025

The new season begins on 14 January and consists of twelve rounds, with there being three sets of live events spread across three days each. Curiously, Tuesdays and Thursdays will consist of just the single race whilst Wednesdays will see two races run.

All rounds will be 50% Grand Prix distance and run with full knockout qualifying. The schedule is as follows:
  1. Albert Park - 14 January
  2. Shanghai - 15 January
  3. Sakhir - 15 January
  4. Jeddah - 16 January
  5. Silverstone - 11 February
  6. Spa-Francorchamps - 12 February
  7. Zandvoort - 12 February
  8. Austin - 13 February
  9. Mexico City - 25 March
  10. São Paulo - 26 March
  11. Lusail - 26 March
  12. Yas Marina - 27 March
As for drivers, not all teams have confirmed their line-ups but there are a few headlines: Ferrari may have retained their line-up of Bari Broumand and Nicolas Longuet that won them the team's championship, but they may be hard pressed to defend that title with Red Bull signing Jarno Opmeer. The two-time champion will undoubtedly make a formidable pairing with reigning champion Rasmussen.
