As April turns into May, the 109th running of the Indianapolis 500 looms on the horizon. For the second time, OverTake hosted a Racing Club event in its honor.

The real-life racing season has fully kicked off, and like every year once the calendar turns over from April to May, preparations for an iconic event have kicked off in Speedway, Indiana. For the 109th time, the crown jewel of the IndyCar season is set to be a blisteringly-fast race that will see 33 drivers battle it out for the Borg Warner Trophy, a big sip of milk, and their place in American open wheel history.
Now, our own event may not be as steeped in history as the real thing, but we're working on it: After its initial edition in 2024, the OverTake Racing Club ran the OT 500 (km) in rFactor 2 again in 2025, this time on May 16. As a special event, it was free for all OverTake members to join.

The live stream of the event was also be back, as broadcast the OT 500 (km) on our OverTake Racing Club Twitch channel, and on YouTube with a POV stream - the latter is embedded at the top of this article. That means that after you finished the race, you also get to rewatch the most exciting wheel-to-wheel battles of the event from the broadcast perspective.

Welcome to the flagship race of Overtake's May calendar. For the second year running, we will be hosting our own "OT500(km)" in tribute to the upcoming Indianapolis 500! 125 Laps of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway's Oval course in the fantastic modern Indycars will jangle the nerves and see enormous amounts of strategy, slipstreaming and teamwork as groups battling down the grid fight for the ultimate title of OT500 winner! This race will once again be Livestreamed on out Twitch, so sign up, invite your mates to cheer you on in the chat and can you cross the line of Bricks first? Sign up below and definitely tell us what type of Milk you would like to drink upon entering Victory Lane!
Eligibility: This race is a FREE event for Premium and Non-Premium racers. If you are a regular, come along and join us, if you are new and wish to test out what it is like to race in the Overtake racing Club, then use this epic race to come along and sample the amazing racing we have on offer!
The race itself is limited to 33 racers. In the event we are oversubscribed, priority to Qualify will be given to racers who have competed in at least 1 other Overtake Racing Club event in 2025. Sign up is open early enough that you may enter our events following sign up to increase your priority.
