The next update for the early access of Assetto Corsa EVO is arriving in a few short days, with new cars confirmed including a racing car, a lightweight sports car and a classic and retro car from the same brand.

After we got an update from Kunos regarding the revising of the plan for the AC EVO release, we now have an idea of what content is definitely on its way to the sim in the future. Now we know when the next stage of that plan is releasing, with the next content update arriving on May 7th at 14:00 UTC.

Kunos revealed in a tweet that four new cars are getting added to the sim, and they are the Maserati MC20 GT2, Lotus Exige V6, Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA and the Alfa Romeo 75 Turbo Evoluzione.

That was not all, though: On the official Discord server, the studio announced an additional three cars and two tracks: The Porsche 911 Turbo 3.6, Mazda MX-5 (NA) and Honda NSX-R are also part of the update, whilst the tracks are the previously confirmed Circuit of the Americas and along with that, Donington Park.

Additionally, Kunos will be adding the open mode and career mode they spoke about in their most recent keynote. They also mention that "Step 2" for both VR and triple screen support will be added in, along with new special events, replay tools and gallery and a custom race weekend modifier in single player.

Which new car will you be driving first in the Assetto Corsa EVO early access version 0.2? Let us know in the comments below and join the discussion in our AC EVO forum!

INSTANT BUY ! but noooo, it's free ;)
this game is for me so good, the next level simulation, the real evolution, I hope Kunos will eat the cake alone, no place for the others simcade in my library;)

Cant waitfor hotlaping these cars again and again on the Nordschleife track, I will instant buy Nordschleife, even if it's free, AC EVO is the cheapest game ever made, for the best value.

So instead of announcing what "improvements" they've made they prioritise announcing content. What a joke.
Well, they say this (here):

"EA2 is more than just a release – it’s the foundation for what’s next: new gameplay modes, major improvements, and the future of Assetto Corsa EVO taking shape."

I think this means this is a major release. We will see the release notes when ready, it's in 2 days so I think you won't have to wait much longer for those.

Also, the last picture shows a list of new features:

VR "Step 2" ?? Seriously? 🤣
IF VR DOESN'T WORK FLAWLESSLY, STOP EVEN BOTHER RELEASING IT, and waisting out time!
I got a feeling this is goona be another major disappointment!
I really have enough of these few% finisned games, which unfortunatelly became a standard now days!

I don't care about the content, until the FFB feels great (which is not at the moment), otherwise, it's pointless. Hopefully, we can see tracks that less known, instead of the usual ones in every sim.

Touch grass bruh :roflmao:

Incoming simtubers frenetically launching ACE for 2 days then losing interest.
And Raced... Overtake going crazy with ACE: "Did the new ACE update changed your mind?", "Will you play ACE again ?", "The best new 3 cars of ACE", "Why ACE is good and the future", "ACE changed my life", etc.

Content is what attracts on social media, update changelog is for the actual players on launch day. There is still one full day where they can change stuff so the final changelog can only be released when the update is ready.
Doesn't matter. The launch of this has been an complete flop. They've admitted they got it wrong in a video where they said improvements were coming but didn't state what they were going to improve while showing loads of new cars/tracks just to keep fools interested. If they know they need to make improvements and they got it wrong then those should be being communicated to the community. Not this shiny bs like Forza do.

You might be forgetting that this game is intended for the masses, and Kunos don't want the unwashed masses turning their noses up because... "Wot.noSpa, no Monza, no Nordschleife, wot no (generic) GT3 cars?

Though personally I agree with you that some of the often missed gems of tracks would be welcome, and yes get the game right first then open the goodie bag and let all the toys spillout.

But I won't be buying it until it's more expensive*...

*No EA for me, I'll pay full price when it's done!

Let's see if they can make good on performance improvement while also unlocking more fidelity from the engine. Evo isn't that sharp in clarity & details into the distance on a track like Fuji where the backdrop is unmissable. The saturation also is too warm.

Other Qs: How much has the AI improved? Are they on a good path there at least?

Good mix of cars. The NSX-R had my childhood heart racing as a fan of Japan, and Honda. I'm hoping EVO can capture its charms.

Was hoping for the F2004, and may be MP4/20 as we go along?
