The latest Assetto Corsa EVO update has restored all online functionalities, including the progression system, car customization, the driving academy and special events.

Assetto Corsa EVO had a bumpy start to its early access journey. Still, with this new update bringing back the online features, the simulator's future looks bright if Kunos and 505 Games can keep up this pace with updates, fixes, and new content throughout early access.

"This is just the first step for the game economy and customization features but it's a journey that we'll look to enjoy with support from all of your feedback." - Kunos & 505 Games

The patch notes for this 0.1.5 update cover a wide range of features, from the in-game economy to individual car changes and adjustments. The real headliners are the re-addition of the driving academy and the new special events. Anything more than single races and practice sessions is a welcome addition for Assetto Corsa EVO fans.

Finally, the ability to own the cars rather than just choosing the exact spec and colour each time is available. In addition to the online features, VR has undergone a few changes, most notably in how the water spray is shown. The Laguna Seca and Suzuka circuits have also received much-needed collision physics updates.

This got me excited that there might be something to do in the game...

But it's "Online features" that are not multiplayer...

AI in todays CPU market is just not going to cut the musturd with jack of all trade titles...

Uhhh, Cant wait to try this when i get home from work tonight

Genuinely pissed that I wasted time past the steam refund time for this. Won't be using it while it ties content accesa to server connections. It hasn't stopped anyone ripping the content anyway as I've seen all the cars on various sites converted to AC1.

Not really related to AC Evo specific, but simrace titles in general: Why is the entire world doing the most amazing things with Ai at the moment, but in simracing we're still stuck in the If This Than That kind of Ai. I assume Kunos could extract tons and tons of real people's driving data from ACC and use that to train an Ai on and make a super realistic Ai we can do offline races against.

Got my FFB back which I indirectly lost in 0.1.4 (G923) , but now I don't feel kerbs/sand.

Cheers

Dont vent your frustrations here. Theyre conveying a message from the developers.

Seems you should do the very thing youre demanding of OT... Dont just blindly follow what is said and confirm before you get disappointed and upset.
Not venting. I'm part of an early access title. I understand and appreciate that the game is in development and I accept that. I'm cool with it so far and have enjoyed what is available.

I do think the article OT published was misleading people. I'm sorry if you're upset, but I though a bit of due diligence could have been exercised here especially considering Evo's inconsistent online status.

Thank you to everyone that posted suggesting a fix, I will try that now. Enjoy your day folks!

Great. Does that magically fix my offline status?

Go fix your misleading headline.
Bro chill. Article says online features are here, then you complain RD doesn't even test the feature, then they answer that they are testing the feature right now, then you answer agressively that if it doesn't work specifically for you, they should change the article name. RD isn't Kunos' maintenance service.

So for the folks who still can't get online even with online/offline tick in the game setting. I asked on the official game discord and the solution is to turn off IPV6 in your windows settings.

Nothing on Ai?
I get that it's early stages for ironing out the live service game, but the lack of any comms on that topic just seems to confirm we'll be stuck with Ac1 ai, which is pretty much unraceable. So, no reason to download this.
Oh, you sweet summer child… is this your first time?

Kunos has always struggled with AI implementation in their games, but somehow, they’ve managed to outdo themselves in the worst way possible. I didn’t think it was possible to actually regress from game to game, but they’ve pulled off a miracle and somehow managed that...

The AI has gone from being subpar in previous titles to downright embarrassing. They will never fix this, and even if they implement fixes, they will be minor.

Also, unrelated to this, it would appear that Kunos always knew online was not going to work when the game was released but did it anyway. A bunch of incompetent developers.
